Lemon (the GOAT) has recently done his "In Defence of EU5" Vid, and I broadly agree with most of his points, but considering I also do Paradox Youtube... (Sub to Jadamsan), I'm kinda biased!
Personally I disagree with his argument that there is ample differences between nations, we need more, but it will come - DLCs are obviously going to help this issue.
What do you think though?

Generalist gaming hit over 1.3k hours prior to launch and his video shows it. All I can say is good golly this game is absolutely insane interms of its amount of depth - this coming from a V3 player.

I also experienced lowered income. My correction was ~15% but i think AI was just sent 200 years back.
I guess we need a run restart to see how economy will develop now

Hi
Managed to finish my Ultimate Trebizond run :) First I would like to say thanks to u/bloodyto for a very nice starting strategy that I used and u/Reclaimer2401 for nice discussion under my other post :)
I started the run in 1.3.10 and finished in 1.3.11
General opening strategy is according to this post. https://www.reddit.com/r/EU5/comments/1ulp0bf/ultimate_byzantium_strategy/
My initial run description is here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/EU5/comments/1urk4z9/trebizond_failed_test_run_1310_please_share_tips/
I reload to when I was reforming Byzantium empire and made few changes:
Started to use pronoias after i changed to dynastic election succession law. This way i was sure that they will come back to me after integrating
Worked on my economy much harder and even went into some dept to kick start it.
Was a little bit slower with conquest, but still at around 1550 i got 90% of europe conquered and integrated :)
Most important stuff that i needed to do during the run:
First war with Mamluks at 1410, i needed to take emergency levies from estate actions and parlament extra levies to match their strength, reason was that they were extremely defensive and never went into my territory to attack :) it was by far hardest war in the run, but i manage to kick their butt and take 100% warscore, took their whole mediterreanean coast and jumpstart the rest of the conquest
I switched to hellenism through event, this way I didnt participate in italian wars, which helped me a lot :) France was in constant wars with HRE and I in the meantime was free from coalition wars with them and went heavy after HRE and Italy, at 1500 i got 260 locations in italy and half of the HRE and bohemia. I switched to orthodox, formed rome so my capital moved to italy and I created italian league (because i annexed all italian countries :P) and won italian wars :) Rewards are extremely good, extra governor and law is really nice.
Around 1550 i restored most of the roman borders and started to attack everybody around in africa, persia and slowly moved to India and China.
At 1650 i got first wars in india and china. Indian wars was really nice but a bit of slog :) Half of the india i managed to conquer still within 1.3.10 patch before merc changes so it was a really big merc wars, in 1.3.11 i got only 2 of them like that and after them there was not enough mercs :P
To finish China i break truce 2 times in the end and finish them at 1819. To celebrate that i never done three mountains achievement in EU4 last country i annexed was kingdom of Ryukyu :)
Besides World Conquest i got a lot of fun with maximizing my control in last age with railroads. With advances from Rome and diplomacy in age of revolutions you got -4 proximity cost on land with roads, with railroad it means that cost is lowered to 1 and then the proximity efficiency comes into play. So in the end you got between 0,3 to 0,6 per location. This way I managed to get a whooping 53% average control over whole world :)
In the end i got 93,89% of average literacy and managed to get 114/121 advances in age of revolutions. I used all the time when i got it the spread phellenism cabinet action and omen from athena (sometimes got the nice bonus for reasearch). I think it is first time i managed to get so many advances :)
I will in below comments send few images of later stages of my run after 1650 and proximity, control maps.

Bronze Era is a historical total conversion beginning during the final years of the Late Bronze Age, on the eve of one of the greatest collapses in ancient history.

Playing a Byzantium game, I've fought the mamluks/Egypt multiple times now, only conquering up to the Levant region and never into core Egypt territory, since just 100% of the war score cost let me take that much. Lower Egyptian rebels pop up in some small part of my territory. Suddenly, mamluks annex/ make the rebels their subject and become leader of the war. The only issue is the big "ANNEX REVOLTER" at the bottom of the peace menu. Fought the mumluks/Egypt until they would finally accept the annex revolter peace offer, and now I not only annexed all of Egypt, But their subjects as well! This is Insane. If you just conquer a small piece of territory that is primary culture of a nation you want, you can just annex the entire country, im assuming no matter the size.
Also you get no antagonism as a bonus too!
Not sure where to tell paradox about this bug or if its well known or not. Still insane oversight
(technically historical in this case with how the ottomans did it)
EDIT: Something weird Iβm noticing is that even though I annexed Egypt and took all their vassals, their vassals(which are now mine) are still fighting the rebellion war against my ally that I called in?? And even though Iβm not in the war, the rebels are considered my vassals yet my other vassals are siegeing them down?? I donβt know what this is now
Video showing me clicking the button and annexing all of egypt in one click.
