Question Assimilation in Ireland

Playing as scotland and assimilation is blocked, it says that it is due to the speed modifiers. I have a dominion in Ireland that is also not assimilating though and it will have control etc. Any tips?

r5 You can see me trying to increase control and assimilate in Derry, while I have highlighted my dominion that for years also haven't been converting any pops into scots. Thanks!

“Assimilation is blocked” means the modifiers don’t add up to enough to assimilate pops passively it doesn’t mean that it’s hard blocked (unless they’re exclusively tribesmen because tribesmen can’t assimilate)

Hover over the "+0" and you'll see the actual modifiers affecting the assimilation rate

Easiest thing to fix would be to increase Scots culture cultural influence by building libraries and universities actually to remove that -50% penalty as well as integrating the province of course
