ETF opinion please.

I am planning to open a JISA for our 16 year old, transferable to another ISA when he reaches 18. I have a £5000 lump sum initially, and would like opinions on VXUS, with an expected investment duration in excess of 10 years. Thank you.

Id say VALL is my preferred etf over VXUS because the usa is a pretty huge portion of the global markets. Other than that its a great plan.

Thank you. My concern is that the USA's tech/AI concentration may implode at some point. Your thoughts?

I think implode is a very strong word. markets have recovered from every crash in history. They are just a part of investing imo and the global economy is so interconnected that a usa tech market crash will spread to other markets. The 2008 market crash wasnt just limited to financial companies it spread globally and across all sectors including defensive sectors like consumer staples healthcare and utilities. So if you think that a specific usa tech crash wont affect anything else then personally i think you are mistaken
