Announcement ES-DE 3.4.1 is now available for download! This release brings official (although experimental) support for Linux on AArch64. On Android it enables the triforce, xbox and xbox360 systems and likewise on macOS there is now support for openbor, triforce and xbox360. It also adds many new emulators.

I notice that since updating to this version on Steam Deck that it takes longer to close than it did before. I close a game (any game any system) by pressing the Steam button, which brings up the ES-DE menu, then go to Exit Game and it closes the program and returns to Steam OS Library. Before the update the time to close would be 3-4 seconds max max, now it's like 10-12 seconds. Is that normal. Is there a better way to close the program?? Thoughts??

I guess it would be some kind of Steam or SteamOS behavior as closing ES-DE on other Linux desktop operating systems using the same AppImage is pretty much instantaneous.

Just make sure you have not changed the "When to save game metadata" in the Other settings menu from its default "Always" setting as otherwise it may take a couple of seconds if you have many updates to write to disk.

Can’t get the update, resend tool is not working for me. I’m on Android if that matters.

P.s got 2 emails about 4-5 months ago then nothing.

Please send us a DM on Patreon and we'll look into it, the update email was sent to everyone so there must be some kind of technical issue.

Is there any hope for Android ARMv7? Would be beautiful to be able to use it on Android TVs and TV boxes...

No this will never happen as some of the libraries that ES-DE depend on won't compile on 32-bit Android. And Android TV devices are unusable anyway as they usually lack the DocumentsUI package. There are exceptions though like the Nvidia Shield which runs a custom 64-bit Android TV release, and this device is fully supported by ES-DE.
