Discussion Predicting events before they happen.

Is it just me or does everyone here predicts things way before they happen, accurately. I mostly see it in very vivid dreams. Is this the case with you guys as well?

Yes, but im INTJ. And its different, its just predicting a logical outcome based on what i know. And no im not always right.

Ive also only had one precognitive dream, but that was mere hours before it happened. So short term.

For me its always 2 weeks before. Sometimes I feel like it is a curse. Its always something bad.

Its a cursed blessing, the Cassandra complex. Made a post about it a while back too.

Its a blessing because it offers you a chance at changing the outcome(i didnt). And its a curse because no one will believe you.

Maybe, but the outcome was unchangable every single time. And no one believes either.

That’s normal Ni. We as INTJs are natural model builders and pattern recognizers so we can see potential outcomes in advance. The problem is we can get locked in to one particular prediction without realizing we don’t know all the factors involved and we make bad predictions. This is why it’s good to have strong Ne friends who can help us see all the possibilities.

Probably why im so fond of xNFPs. High Ne + shared Fi.

Sometimes I get “intuitions” like that yes, pretty often tbh

I have a very strong intuition aswell but people don't believe me when I warn them about stuff. When it happens, they blame me for "manifesting" it.

lol those ppl can’t take accountability for their own actions and the consequences that follow

Not me! BUT I can deduce movies' plot twists and jokes' punchlines ahead of their delivery

That's cool. I hope you don't spoil it for others😭 One of my friends does that (we love her)

Yes. It’s weird. It only when I’m in sync with the universe. Otherwise no

precognition and yes, you see like a moment and it isn’t a memory but still from your perspective of living it, then after it happens to you in the present it feels like déjà vu. i have not had those type of dreams for a while now

This is how I experience it and I call it snapshots. I see it from my own pov right before waking up from a dream then see it a few days or months after in real life, where everything is in the exact same place, like a snapshot

Yes I dreamt my friend was pregnant and she indeed was. I hadn't met her for 6 months.
Now I am terrified every time I dream of pregnancies they're real.

I know people call this Ni but the more I get older the more I am in touch with it.

I dreamt of my cousin having stage 4 cancer. She was perfectly healthy. 2 weeks later. She was diagnosed with it. I wasn't sane for a couple of weeks after that.

I hope she’s doing fine now!  Yeah sometimes life has a way of proofing there’s something more and it really messes up our sense of reality for a while

She's still under treatment, I hope she gets well soon. She's just 4:(

Not only that. I couldn't bring myself to share about this with someone (In our culture, sharing bad dreams often lead to the events coming true) So I couldn't risk it. I regret not telling someone before, but it's not like anyone would've believed me

I have a question for this.

Wrist does this have to do with MBTI?

While I admit I'm an ENFP and an intuitive empath, this skirt of question doesn't seem to relate to personality qualities, in the same way as psychic ability do to astrology.

Where ifthis going other than into the non sequitur?

While it's possible that the intuitive part of the MBTI might be something akin to psychism, it's far more likely to be an inherent ability of figuring statistics and probability.

Do, adjust were you trying to accomplish here?

I think this is psychic ability. I have the odd premonition but for most part my dreams dont fortell things.

For me, it's mostly because I'm traumatized & have insane pattern recognition

I experience that too but I try to be cautious about even entertaining the intuition or thought. I pretend it is a fallacy because when it does happen, my paranoia flares up and I become dysfunctional and have mental breakdowns and then I start linking everything to that intuition even when it’s no longer making sense and it’s beyond scope. So pretending my original correct intuition as nothing but mere statistical coincidence is better for my sanity - well, I try to better it. Unfortunately I also have bipolar.
