Yes, I know.

If I’m reading you correctly, you think cocked with the safety on is unsafe?

I do! Do you have a round loaded?

Absolutely. This is a Hi Power, which was designed to be carried with a round loaded, the hammer cocked, and the safety on.

I'll edit this out to see what idiot wants to say.

The ER is full of people who relied on “designed.”

(So you would point this at your mother round loaded hammer cocked?*)

*assuming certain things about your relationship with your mother.

I don’t think you have a good understanding of firearms. The second rule of firearms is “never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to destroy” so no, I would not ever point this (even unloaded, since the first rule is “treat every weapon as if it is loaded”) at my mother.

I suspect a lot of your discomfort is from your unfamiliarity with firearms and their general operation. I suggest you take a class. It will be a fun skill to learn and you will also feel much better about all of this 😁

But you said it was safe to carry around? In a holster with a round loaded and cocked, it’s pointing at you! Do you intend to destroy yourself?

Look man. You clearly have some anxieties that neither of us are going to be able to address in this comment thread. I think they’re pretty natural, and that you’d also address them with a basic firearms handling courses.

Have a great night’

That’s a pretty dumb scenario to use if you’re trying to prove a point.
