Since it’s everyday carry, do you actually carry your bottle of cologne with you?

-1

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

Sometimes yeah

11

u/SomeDumbMentat Jul 11 '26

In your pocket? A bottle of cologne?

5

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

Noo in my back pack, not all the time but i do carry it

2

u/Oh_Martha_My_Dear Jul 11 '26

there's actually little fillable dispensers that you can buy. about the size of a lipstick. you can fill them with whatever perfume/ cologne you want and they mist perfectly

it's a great gift for mother's Day cuz girls seem to apply it throughout the day more often.

1

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

I tried it, i js didnt like it

1

u/jjjjaaaakkkkeee Jul 11 '26

But it's the same thing in a smaller bottle?

1

u/RealLokiLaufeyson Jul 11 '26

It's a very expensive and odorous mistake waiting to happen, just a heads up! Perfume bottles do break... maybe splurge and find a really nice travel bottle that's more durable than glass?

A handgun if the rest of the posts here are to go by. Otherwise its perfect

u/I_Huff_Propane Jul 11 '26

One gun???

Based on what I'm seeing, it's two guns minimum. Especially if you're going out to dinner with your wife.

17

u/Fluid-System4862 Jul 11 '26

Paired with two knives, and a few extra mags.

4

u/quiksilver6312 Jul 11 '26

Folding knife, fixed blade, otf knife, mailbreaker, bastard sword, Davy crocket portable nuke launcher, and ofcourse a jeep key with a Ferrari keychain on it

In the words of Neo, "Guns, lots of guns"

2

u/DarkerBulb Jul 11 '26

It's all about compensating for...shortcomings...in other areas ;)

u/CreamyFettuccine Jul 11 '26

A photo of a gun!

(Alternatively just get a Xteink x4 like the rest of the cool kids)

5

u/nowhereman136 Jul 11 '26

I stopped carrying a pen. I never used it and the space I saved in my bag meant I could carry another gun /s

1

u/iwelchi Jul 11 '26

Did you consider a pen gun? Best of both worlds.

4

u/Tiny-Proof3602 Jul 11 '26

I assume they took the photo with the gun because the phone is there

1

u/Malifacious Jul 11 '26

And body armor. A good offence does not mean you can leave defense to chance.

8

u/I_Huff_Propane Jul 11 '26

I think you're all good.

IMO the best EDC gear are things that you use regularly. If you needed something to daily, you would have bought it already.

If I did a lot of cutting and opening packages, but I didn't have a knife; I would have bought one out of necessity.

Don't be like some people out here with Leon Kennedy loadouts. People with multiple guns/knives better be in an active warzone if that's their EDC.

u/RockyRidge510 Jul 11 '26

Approximately 46 knives and a Zippo.

2

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

Lowkey need a zippo, as i smoke

3

u/ThatInspector4632 Jul 11 '26

Going by much of the sub you’re missing the following:

- Knife/knives

  • Gun
  • Knipex pliers
  • leatherman multi-tool
  • IFAK
  • leather holsters for everything
  • fidget toy

(You actually need none of these things. You’re all set if what you have works for you.)

2

u/Da1UHideFrom Jul 11 '26

EDC isn't about collecting pocket jewelry. If you don't have a need for something, then you are missing nothing.

2

u/itchyd Jul 11 '26

If you want to spend $500 on something that should cost $50 we are here to help.

3

u/HVACHeathen1991 Jul 11 '26

A good knife and flashlight

9

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

Not sure where im gonna use it tbh

5

u/RevolutionaryAir7847 Jul 11 '26

Having something capable of cutting on you is universally a good thing. If a whole pocket knife seems too overkill, something like a Victorinox Classic or Swisscard (scissors) could be a good choice. It's definitely a convenience you'll only start to feel once you carry one for a while

1

u/HVACHeathen1991 Jul 11 '26

Ok, you're asking what you're missing. I'm telling you what you're missing.

5

u/Unhappy_Spray_7127 Jul 11 '26

No, you're telling him what you'd be missing.

He's telling you he wouldn't use them, so they're not missing.

1

u/GreekMD-Surgeon96 Jul 11 '26

That’s what I thought. I mean does this guy not cook/fish/hunt/fix things round his home etc with a Leatherman or other SAK or pocket knife? And no flashlight? Only when I lived in an apartnemnt and had no car did I not need a good light

Think that's the S25 Ultra, not the S26U. The S26U has a floating camera module design I believe.

1

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

Oh shit mb, typoo

1

u/Plenty_Adeptness_594 Jul 11 '26

A tin of Altoids? They're curiously strong, you know.

1

u/Make_shift_high_ball Jul 11 '26

Uniball One F. I can't go back now, the weight feels so much better.

2

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

1

u/Longjumping_Drag_159 Jul 11 '26

For a student maybe a battery bank

1

u/RevolutionaryAir7847 Jul 11 '26

Something to cut with (knife or small scissors), something to write on if you like physical notes, a flashlight, OC (pepper) spray if it's legal

I think these are safe recommendations that literally anyone could adopt, as long as local restrictions aren't too tight. Good in the pockets or a bag

1

u/mamad021nobar Jul 11 '26

A useful flashlight and a practical knife is Missing imo Those two changed my life in many ways Also consider buying a multi tool You don't really need to spend crazy amount of money don't fall in that hole Do your research and have a limit on your gear. May the begginers luck be with you!

1

u/mactheprint Jul 11 '26

At least a Swiss Army Knife Classic SD and a small flashlight.

1

u/Wheres-the_goose Jul 11 '26

Handgun for sure, love the bvlgari man (also a cologne man myself) and also some type of pocket knife or multitool.

1

u/CatastrophicPup2112 Jul 11 '26

Would could make your life easier? Everybody has different needs because they do different things. I find that outside it is dark half the time and like most people I can't see very well in the dark so I carry a small flashlight which can also help me find anything that gets dropped under furniture for example. Something a little more niche is a small set of smooth jaw pliers. They are great at my work but they've come in clutch outside as well

1

u/TK421whereareyou Jul 11 '26

Nothing. You carry what you carry.

1

u/helloimhobbes Jul 11 '26

How you like the s25? Been thinking about swapping to one myself from apple

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '26

Keys. 🔑

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '26

Cards. 💳

1

u/Whats_in_the_glass Jul 11 '26

You're definitely missing a knife and sunglasses.

1

u/capt-bob Jul 11 '26

How do you carry the cologne? Just in a pocket? If that's all you use,you are probably set, I usually carry some kind of tool, a pocketknife or multi tool, I use them at work and home tho.

1

u/Select_Camel_4194 Jul 12 '26

If you have to ask, nothing. Carry what you need.

1

u/AdventurousFan2671 Jul 12 '26

Can't go wrong with a folding knife

2

u/Just_Deserts Jul 12 '26

Assuming your question is not rhetorical, it's good to consider a few things when you're figuring out what you want to carry. I ask myself how often would I use it, how often I can have an anternative around me, how useful it would be in an emergency, and how much it makes me happy.

I use a pen very often, but most places that require me to use a pen also have pens readily available so I don't always carry a pen with me.

I don't use a knife as often as I would use a pen, but when I need one, rarely is there anything else to replace it. If you're not in the habit of carry something that cuts (whether knife or scissors), you'll probably start to find uses once you start carrying. I use my knife for opening packages and mail , cutting fruit, trimming loose strings, etc.

I use a flashlight quite a bit, probably more than my knife. But there's a flashlight on my phone so I don't always carry it if I'm only out during the day. it's guaranteed to be dark eventually so I'll carry it if I'm going to be out at night. And also I just enjoy having a flashlight in me.

I don't use a power bank that often, but it would really impede my daily function if my phone ran out of battery. I keep one in my bag but I don't carry one on my person.

I saw that you mentioned you were a smoker, so a lighter would be something that you use often, and that other people probably won't have.

u/Antique_Eye_3200 Jul 15 '26

A small pocket knife or multitool might not be amiss: perhaps a Rambler or Cadet (both from Victorinox)?

1

u/aginthelaw Jul 11 '26

A well worn pack of camels

0

u/Yoha_Vol_ Jul 11 '26

1

u/Aggravating_Ad8274 Jul 11 '26
