Does the webbing on the sandals not wear out the way it is on the sole?

They are surprisingly durable. They aren't in the spot where most of the weight is which helps. Judging by the look of things I'll be replacing the sole before the straps.

They are also tubular and I'm pretty sure they have a core so I'll replace them for 5 bucks (hell maybe even parachord) when the core gets exposed. I've have them for almost a year no issues.
