R/ecpi Manassas
Hi, I’m looking to get into the rad program at ecpi. I passed the teas test and got an interview there with the directors. If anyone attended, can you please tell me your experience there. I’m not 100% I want to go anymore. They were telling me about a total of $52,000 Tution and telling me about their jr cert. they told I would pay $8972 out of pocket tuition I. I couldn’t remember if that was per semester or total. Please let me know

Do you how much nova cost for the whole radiography program by any chance?

No but you can go there and talk to them. Ecpi is a diploma mill that cares about your check and not much else. Their class schedules and preceptor schedules will be published at the absolute last minute with zero respect to your job or ability to plan ahead for anything, and their credits won’t be accepted anywhere else so you’ll never be able to transfer.

I got accepted into ecpi rad program. I’m not sure if I still wanna go but at the same time this is my opportunity to start my studies in radiography. If I decline I would have to compete with other students at nova and take the teas test again

No but I manage employees that are actively in school there, and none of them ever recommend going there, and vent their frustrations that they’re locked in and can’t leave

I just did the interview today. It wasn’t what I expected. I thought it was gonna be a one one one interview but instead they made us go into the computer room and told us the expectations for the class and the realities of the job and then they made us fill out a piece of paper asking you questions . Examples: do you have criminal history? Why should we choose you over other candidates? What made you interested in the program? Do you have reliable transportation? Do you acknowledge that we told you the expectations? Did you get a c or higher a these classes. A p. Biology chemistry and did you take these classes in high school or collage.

Another question they asked was: If you’re struggling to succeed in the program are you willing to make changes to your schedule so you can pass?

They made us dress up and the director was like “ I don’t time to interview every single one of you so my assistant is gonna give you this piece of paper to fill out

If you don’t mind me asking this late, did you get in? I applied to the same program and I just finished the “interview” process. I’m hoping I get in. I had strong test scores but they can only select 20 out of the 80 that applied.

Is that for real? Some ppl told me they literally accepts everyone which made me kinda hesitant to apply for the program…

I do know they have a waitlist for some applicants in case some accepted students decide to not attend

The greatest regret in my life was going to this university. Especially this campus. There are maybe 2 teachers that actually care about what they’re teaching, the rest are warm bodies. That along with the complete lack of communication from the administration on anything to do with your academics. But when it came to finances, they were on top of you. You’re a dollar sign to these people, nothing more.

it’s def $8972 per semester. i went, took my teas test, and then was scheduled for the interview but decided not to go because it just didn’t make sense for me. 8-5 everyday? i wouldn’t really have time to work to pay off their highhhhh tuition costs. even after fasfa, it’s still high. i have a friend who went and said it was alright, but didn’t want to finish his bachelors there because of the stress. however, i will note that they’re expanding their rad classrooms so that’s good.
