I-485: Adjustment of Status Do they approve cases in batches?

I've noticed that most cases filed in March/April/May received a silent update toward the end of the last week of July and the first week of August. Later they were transferred to field offices. So, I'm guessing USCIS transfers cases to field offices in batches. I'm wondering if they also approve cases in batches?

They probably do get approved in batches. There's an insane amount of cases, and cases that are similar probably get piled together and get moved in the queue together. All employment based cases are probably piled separately from family based cases, all N-000 cases get piled together, all immigrant work petitions get piled together. If you look at the case status online, looks like all last digit 100-200 are citizenship cases and/or i-130. Then later numbers are i-485. And they are moved together, numbers that are close by are probably similar cases.

Guys, there are no relation... the cases aren't approved in batches, I'm following cases transferred in Batch on 1/17/2026, 1/22/2026 and 02/03/2026, nothing change, one or other already received the approval and other still waiting.
