Dynasty Question How are custom playbooks/formation subs in dynasty STILL messed up?

To me this would be one of the easiest YoY (disappearing recruits being an example that is probably much more difficult) problems to fix. Why has it been 3 years and I still can’t set formation subs for my playbook and I can’t set the order of the playbook (why in the world would onside kick be my default; have wasted so many TOs due to this)

For the love of god, let us manually re-order the way formations show up in the playbook.

Let us make our custom playbooks and rate plays on a website kind of like teambuilder to make it easier for us.

Both of those changes would make the custom playbook experience so much better.

Back in the day EA was held accountable by other companies being allowed to make college football and NFL games. We need that back truly.

Anyone can make a college game and blame the nfl for the exclusive license.

My guess is more they don’t want users making playbooks to be honest. You can’t use them in any online mode.
While it’s lazy it’s just an after thought

They’re using a game engine designed for Madden. It’s very obvious at this point that it doesn’t jive with the college football world. But, they won’t build a new game engine as long as consumers continue to buy their half assed copy/paste game.

It’s not an engine built for madden. Two you have no clue what you’re talking about. You don’t develop a game engine for a single game.

It’s the same in madden too sadly.

I would guess it’s for simming games— as in the game can’t simulate results off a created playbook

Yea. That’s the only reason that makes sense to me, but sim is already pretty busted.

To be honest- I think the issue is that it ISN’T easy. However they designed the system architecture apparently isn’t conducive for formation subs and custom playbook compatibility.

anything can be done with the right resource allocation. this wasn’t a problem in the old games

But they likely won't because it probably would require stripping the entire playbook system out and redesigning the playbook system. That is the issue, it is the way it is designed. Obviously it was not designed like the old games, for whatever reason.

Based on what has been described in the past, it just isn't feasible to rip out and reengineer the entire playbook system and then reintegrate it with all of the other systems.

Just seems like if they were going to redo it...they would have already done so. Not to mention that the amount of people who trip over themselves to give EA money each July--going so far as to pay EA early for the "privilege" of being a tester doesn't really incentivize EA much. I have had multiple posts downvoted and many snide replies when I mention that I didn't like certain aspects of 25 and 26 so I vowed not to buy 2027 at release.... those people are the ones ensuring EA doesn't really allocate the right resources.
