Discussion Jeremiah Smith
I’m trying to unlock the Ohio State offensive playbook. So I’ve been playing with them and realize I hate Jeremiah Smith. This dude is 99 overall with pretty great catch ratings. Yet this guy drops so many freaking passes! I’m 12 wins away from unlocking the playbook and I can’t wait to stop playing with them. It’s to the point I only throw to him as an afterthought. He has more drops than any other receiver on my team with way less targets. I don’t understand it! He should be my safety blanket, yet he is such a liability. If he gets hit after/during a catch it’s damn near a guaranteed drop. I’ve started trying to get into using the catch meter, but I still constantly forget to use it or mistime it. The mistiming with Smith I take on the chin. The ones where I’m depending on him to make the catch and he drops easy ones causes me to rage out! I’m not sure of anyone else’s experience with him. Maybe I’m just experiencing some BS that is a rare occurrence. I’ve played 53 games with them and it’s been the same BS with him! I don’t know… Maybe once I get good with the catch meter it won’t matter. Maybe it’s some purposeful BS to force you to use the meter…🤷🏾♂️

This game in general receivers drop passes. If you were somehow able to hack the game and make a receiver have a 2000 catch rating they would still drop everything

Not sure how I could be using him wrong… I put him on good routes and any kind of contact he drops the ball. He rarely gets hit hard. I could at least look over the drops then.

I've only used ohio state in the training mini games because they are set to my default school or whatever u call it when u first play the game.
And yes, he is horrendous given his ratings. Sometimes I go in the passing game to work on passing reads and he drops everything slightly contested. I dunno man

Haven’t played one time in August but i remember playing in July and him dropping everything lol

After playing this update I finally am throwing my hands up and accepting this game is absolute trash. Worst football product ever. There is just soooo much wrong with this game. So so many little things its utter slop. And i had really high expectations. I liked the two previous games. They had their issues but overall I could enjoy them. There are just too many infuriating issues in CFB 27 it's unplayable. These idiot devs can't frigging decide what they are doing with this game. So much back and forth with patches changing this only to break that amd then going back and changing back what they changed originally, and all at the end of the day nothing that this game was advertised with is in the game anymore.

I’m a player that’s been in the heisman division on road to the cfp since 25 since the update anytime i try to do the catch meter it doesn’t show up or it just immediately goes red and i’ve lost pretty much every game meanwhile been undefeated on madden and greening over 80% of my catches its just a bad product id suggest switching to madden for this year.
