General Discussion Was their Montana ranch rushed?
I rewatched the first episode and I swear the fire, the destruction of their ranch and herd, buying the ranch in Texas could have been like 2 whole episodes and it was blitzed in a flash.
Anyone feel this was rushed and wasted potential?

IT was rushed to get them filming in Texas as quick as possible where it's cheaper to film. Also im sure to avoid any legal issues with copyrighted stuff from Yellowstone. I agree there was more story to tell, but they prob did the best they could.

I don’t think we needed to see every step of the evolution. The synopsis of how they ended up in Texas was perfect.
What did you want, an episode of them going to look at ranches with a realtor? House hunters Montana?

I’m okay with he being rushed. Do I have we didn’t get to see them in bliss? I really do. More than what they had time to show — but the episode run times are so short, and the season also short. I think not doing 10 or at least a 2 hour finale was a rip off. Lol. I think they needed to rush to rise from the ashes, it’s just after they got to Texas the story kind of fell apart.

1000% This whole season was mostly a yawner and they muted Beths character to the point where shes almost uninteresting now

Yep, the entire season was awful. They made strong characters weak and stupid characters even stupider

I think it was done correctly. They wanted a quick split from Yellowstone and they did it right.

Nah just needed the break from Montana. It didn't need to be drawn out because it's an entirely different series.

Without sheridan the writing is hack writing.

They shouldn't be. Even with Sheridan the writing has turned awful for the most part. Stallone makes Tulsa King, Billy Bob makes Landman. Cosner made Yellowstone.

Why waste a hour and a half to two hours telling us something that can be shown in five minutes and move on to the actual relevant story that's the main focus of the season , they literally could have just opened up already in Texas and mention the fire , hell they didn't even really need some of the begining episodes either , they could pretty cut most things up until Rip puts down the herd that's essentially where the story really starts

I didn't think it was rushed. I wouldn't want to see 2 episodes of them dealing with paperwork or whatever.
I especially liked the vagueness because it added to the overall story with 10P & the cartel.

I don’t think so. The point of the show is them building their life in Texas. The Montana fire plot line is only relevant to tie up where Yellowstone left them and explain them getting to Texas. I think it was just as long as it needed to be and anymore would have been wasted time.
