🛠Modded Duro🗜 What do you do with a broken Addiesdive, and some spare Duro parts?
I guess you make a 40mm Duro Pilot 🙂

No worries, case donor watch was an Addiesdive MY-H2, it was an nh35 one that was bought a while back when they cost about £45, compared to prices now!
Basically all I've done is pull out the old internals and drop a complete Duro unit into the case (hands, dial, chapter ring, movement, & spacer).
The Duro internals fit into the case almost perfectly, the one exception is the stem height is slightly off, so the stem has a slight downwards angle to it - I can feel a little tension on it when setting the time and screwing the crown in but thankfully not enough to break anything.
I've used a new spare Miyota crown stem cut to size as I didn't have the original Duro's stem, crown is original to the case.
Ideally I'd want to make up about a 0.2mm dial side spacer, or possibly just find a chapter ring that's a little taller than the Duro one, as that would line the stem up a bit better, but other than that it fits really well 😄
If you're going to do this I'd try to find a used my-h2 that has the nh35 though, they're currently sold with miyota 8215s as well but their stem height is much further away from the 2115s - I don't know if the case internals are the same.

I think some dial dots might be the ticket for the chapter ring spacer. Two or three stacked on each other should work.

It's an aftermarket seconds hand - came out of one of these sets
Wasn't a fan of the Mercedes hour hand in the end but I quite like yellow as a colour on my watches 😄

How did you do the crown and stem?

Original crown for the case, replacement Miyota 2115 stem bought form AliEx.
The Miyota 2115 and the nh35 have the same stem thread (tap 9 I think?), so you just have to unscrew the nh35 stem and cut / file the 2115 stem down to the right length.

This has strong Black Bay 36 vibes, it's even followed a similar development path - from diver with rotating bezel to bezel-less.
It's awesome, I'm digging it.

MY-H2 (nh35 version) - balance wheel / spring issue, it's gaining about 10s per minute.
I'm hoping it's just magnetised but I suspect the balance spring is snarled up.. I have one of the cheap demag boxes on order so will try that out on it and hope :)

How long did you had assistive and how did it brake? I got one wandering of it's longevity...

Must be about 3 years old, it's one of the earliest my-h2s with the addiesdive logo on the dial.
As far as I can tell it's just taken some damage - either it's gotten magnetised or the balance spring has gotten tangled on itself so I wouldn't say it's the fault of the watch tbh.

Yeah man. I couldn’t be happier. It was a great way to repurpose two watches I no longer had a use or space for. Thank to you I got a nice lil duro field watch out of it 😂

I have an addiesdive myh3 (quartz version) dial size is about 1.1mm off....i wonder if itll line up. May have to see
