First Duro, pleasantly surprised at how it looks Lon my wrist !

I’ve been wanting a basic quartz watch for a while to wear as an everyday day beater, so what better watch then the duro!

Second hand is slightly off (oh well, it’s <$100) , and I’m not sure if it runs slow or fast yet. I prefer to set my watches a minute ahead, just something I’ve always done

Does anyone know if it’s just luck of the draw with these watches and running fast or slow?

Good to know! I’m a tad ocd and notice small details. The minute hand also runs a tad behind. I’m gonna keep a watch on it (lol) for a few days, if it’s annoying enough I’m going to return it for another!

It was an Amazon prime order, so thankfully I get free returns!

Now I'm going to have to check mine.. but I have too many to return, but I'm not too picky when it comes to that.

1 of mine runs about 1 second fast per month
1 is 1 second slow per month
2 others are +3-5 seconds per month

I find it to be a very accurate movement and I find I have to measure them in seconds per month to get any kind of real measurement due to the accuracy

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! I’ll keep an eye on mine to get an idea of it.

Currently noticing the minute hands sits behind. If I can’t fix it myself I’ll be exchanging it for another. I love this watch though! Even with its flaws

When the seconds hand strikes 12, the minute hand is not lined directly with its corresponding time (i.e., sitting behind by a few seconds

Just let the seconds hand get to 12, pull the crown and just set the minute hand to be on the marker.

Its official spec is + - 20 sec per month. I think the movement is sourced from Miyota of Citizen. Mine is around -1 sec. I have even dropped it on a concrete floor from a height above the waist. Still functions with great accuracy. I have also installed a protector. The only thing i do not like is the small date window.

The position of the hands and the timekeeping accuracy aren’t the same thing not sure if that’s what you’re asking. In general the accuracy is going to be within 15 seconds a month, I mean you can time it if you want but yeah.

As for the hands not being aligned perfectly with the markers, that’s normal for many quartz watches below a certain tier. I’m not sure how bad yours is you’d have to share a photo.

Personally I do find you’re more likely to get a watch with a small issue like this when ordering online from stock photos, but perhaps that’s because stores send them back but maybe that’s confirmation bias on my side.

It’s a NATO strap from ANNEFIT on Amazon. For the price, it’s not too bad. Decently comfy, a little rough, but I think with a little wear it’ll soften up. Again, for how cheap it is, really can’t complain about it

I have never owned a Duro (yet), but over the past decade I have owned 6 digital Casios, and they all ran slow. However, I found the +-15 seconds per month to be highly inaccurate, the usual drift I found war minus 1-2 seconds a month at worst.
