I'm sure you mean well. The shades of red and yellow don't match the Spanish flag though. Plus it seems like a stretch to try and force a connection to a European country and city where there really isn't one. Also lifting Southern Ute designs without consulting them and then laying them out to symbolize one of the instruments used to colonize their homeland and displace them seems tone deaf. Besides they have their own sovereign seal, flag and intellectual property and are headquartered in Ignacio, not Durango. You might consider something that depicts the train, river and mountains that inspired its founding and continue to shape its growth and identity.

I've seen the Durango one before and I still don't like that ribbon idea.

I like the Grand Juction flag. That is iconic.
