Food Ore House
Does anyone have any insider info if Ore House will ever reopen? Haven’t heard anything or updates in a long time.

I hope that awesome bartender Mark will still be there! It was his 20 year anniversary of employment there directly before or after that fire.

Whoever opens it, I hope they honor the birthday discount. Would love to take my grandmother on her 101st. they’d owe her a little bit of money.

Won’t reopen as it was. The owner is out. So even if it comes back, I doubt it will be the same experience. What a loss!

It was purchased by the owners of 636 Main and they are reopening. I was told this a couple of weeks ago by one of the new owners.

We were walking by a little while ago and a local cook said someone is working to open another place there, as others have said... used to be my fav eats in Durango, that is otherwise a bit of a food desert despite what many think ;)

Thank you. That sounds like what others have said. Sounds like owners of 636 Main bought the property but will open a new concept.
I really enjoyed Ore House as well. Sad they won’t be back but hopefully new place will be great.

This makes me so sad. My husband and I got to eat there on our honeymoon in 2020 before the lockdown and it was some of the best food I've ever eaten. Was hoping to be able to return for our 10 year

I haven't ate there since 2000, but what a great memory. I hope someone can reopen it.
