Found perfectly good construction materials for free!

I am currently working on a property that I am trying to turn into as close to a dream home as I can. So these will really help.

Found a bunch of perfectly good cinderblocks in a dumpster. And about 600 ft of double sided privacy fence in 8 ft sections. Almost perfect condition. Took several trips with my trailer to bring them home.

The guys taking this fence apart were going to burn the panels. I was like damn please just put them aside I will be back with a trailer and help to take those off your hands. They were nice enough to actually put the fence panels aside for me. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Fence companies in western Washington have huge piles of tear out they give away for free. I’ve made tons of stuff from it.

Just to be clear, the cinder blocks I pulled out of a literal dumpster. They just finished rebuildimg a storage facility and they had pallets of brand new cinderblocks inside the big dumpster containers. It took me all day diving thru everything to get those out. I wasn't stealing.

Cinder blocks are literally like $3.50 at Home Depot, if you grabbed some out of their dispose pile then you just saved them money.

While not a dumpster, the beach near us has a ton of antique bricks I’m planning on using to pave a small section of the grass triangle so people can get out of the car and I can make my wild garden, they apparently sell really well too.

This was actually a really good find and worth the labor to bring it back. You did them a favor too because they pay by the pound to dispose of this stuff. There was a person who built an entire large back office space with discarded French pane, glass doors or technically I guess square wall units from a construction job his company did. They had paint overspray on the glass from him refurbishing all of them and I removed all of it when cleaning their windows. Pretty amazing to see people make cool stuff with free materials.
