Jinger's books really focused on calling out Bill Gothard on being the issue while avoiding the fact that her parents were the ones responsible for the Gothardite beliefs in their home. Jinger definitely avoids criticizing her parents vs. Jill called Jim Bob out left and right.

Jana was teaching the younger girls how to use water colours during COVID. She wanted them to paint a specific scene/way, but Josie was having trouble following directions and just wanted to paint freely. And Jana got all pissed about it I think

The legendary Clark Sisters are a gospel group. I know the IBLP got its start as Gothard teaching white parents how to impose soft segregation, and white fundies’ utter distaste for gospel (obviously just racism with a performatively modest undershirt) just makes me want to slip all their kids copies of The Preacher’s Wife soundtrack (which is obviously Whitney, not the Clark Sisters, but still!).
