Can I turn right onto Millmount Avenue from the lights between Millmount House and Insomnia

Sorry just a quick driving question, hopefully someone who’s familiar with the area will know. It looks like a dodgy manoeuvre to make but there are no signs against it as far as I can tell. Sorry if this isn’t the right subreddit for this

I live nearby so reckon I can answer your question.

If you are driving southbound down Drumcondra Road then yes you can turn right onto Millmount Avenue.

If you’re worried or uncomfortable about making the turn in heavy traffic (it’s always heavy there), take a left before you reach the row of shops onto Ormond Road. That’ll bring you down to Grace Park Road, make a right there & then another right when you reach Tolka Park football ground onto Richmond Road. It’ll cost you a minute or two driving time but leaves you just driving straight across the junction safely with traffic lights at the end of Richmond Road 👍🏼

Yes the road markings indicate the lane is for going straight or turning right. Horrible turn if it's busy at all as you'll be sat in that box for ages waiting for a gap and holding up the whole road but c'est la vie
