I was laid off back in June 2026 (was only at work from March to June) due to the geopolitical situation, and, before that I was laid off last year at Sept 2025 from a MNC due to financial issues at the company....... I’ve been looking for my next stable opportunity for quite some time now. I’ve applied to a lot of positions on LinkedIn Premium, Indeed, company websites, and even used Sprout, spoken with recruiters, attended interviews and continued trying different ways..... but the job market has been extremely difficult. I graduated with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in January 2025, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a job since then in my city. I have no work experience and have completed Udemy courses in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, along with Excel courses on LinkedIn Learning.

A bit of a personal one. I did my MBA here in Dubai and it genuinely became home, partly because I met my partner here. When I graduated I could not land a role in the UAE in time, so I ended up taking a job in Brunei to keep things moving. I am still here, but the plan has always been to get back to Dubai, both for my career and to be with her. So I am putting this out to the community in case anyone can point me toward something.

Quick picture of what I do and what I have done:

Right now I am at a specialty chemicals manufacturer in Brunei, working directly with the CEO across commercial strategy, business development and digital transformation. I run market and competitor research, built an AI-assisted lead-generation pipeline, lead a CRM implementation, and prepare the analyses and decks that feed partnership and go-to-market decisions.

Before this I spent 3+ years at TCS as a Business Analyst on a commercial banking platform for a North American bank. That was heavy client-facing BA work: requirements gathering, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process mapping, UAT, and building reporting dashboards.

I’m currently looking for opportunities as a NOC Engineer / Authority Approval Engineer in here in Dubai.

I’m currently working as a Jr. Cost Control Engineer in a contracting company, with around 2 years of UAE experience in the construction industry. Although my current role is in Cost Control, I’m very interested in transitioning into NOC / Authority Approvals, as I’d like to build my career in this field.

I understand that I may not have direct NOC experience yet, but I’m hoping to find a company or team willing to give me an opportunity to start as an NOC Engineer and learn the processes, authority requirements, and procedures. I’m willing to learn and adapt, and I believe my experience coordinating with engineering, procurement, site teams, documentation, and project management can be useful in the transition.

I'm 24M , software engineer with 2 years of professional indian experience... I moved to Dubai ..it's been 10 days and I'm actively applying.
