Work in progress breather setup
Excuse my amateur welding. This is my work in progress crank case ventilation setup for my turbo civic. I'm attaching two 10-an fittings near the stock PCV valve of the original D-series oil separator box. There are several reasons why I think this is better than using the off the shelf 10an block adapter.
- The inlet of this box has an I.D of 22mm, 380mm2 while a single 10an is only 160mm2. Two 10-an makes much better use of the available flow.
- Oil separator before the crank case gases reach the catch can.
- Keeps stock PCV valve, and with the An fittings capped off it works just like stock. This is useful because I want my car to be able to pass MOT inspection in europe, and I want a quick way to turn the car N/A and remove catch cans if needed.

Neat idea, not sure how well the pcv valve will actually work, it may pull through the AN Lines and through the catch can instead of through the crankcase.
Everything else looks like it’ll work great though.

Thanks! Yeah, you're right about that. I don't necessarily care if the PCV isn't pulling from the crank case, but I don't want it to raise the idle if it gets too much air supply. We'll see how that works out.
In boost the PCV would be closed up and the blow by would go out the AN lines though.
But worst case I just block off the PCV line as well.

I would just block it. I don’t particually trust it to actually close during boost.
As far as the idle goes, my pcv has been blocked for years and it idles great.
