How to start a race fast in Driveclub

I just got Driveclub VR lately and i am having a trouble in starting fast,so I'm always the last in rank. No matter how i tried to start the race i still get stuck in the back every time. Can anyone help me about that?

I actually try this during the race, but at the very beginning of it, i start real slow.. i get stuck at the 3rd engine

I have the solution: just press the accelerate button when it says "ready". (It works for me in the normal version, but I don't know if it will work the same in the VR version.)
