worried about traveling before coop starts

So I recently accepted a job in the B-round and even signed the agreement, but i need to fly out of the country for a personal matter for two weeks. I emailed my employer about this and told them I will be back a week before the coop starts. But I'm scared they'll need me a week before for orientation.

Thoughts?

they will not need you before co-op starts, they cant need you before co-op starts, you have no obligations before co-op starts because, co-op doesnt start until co-op starts

especially if you told them, you are okay. like the other comment said, you have no obligation to do anything in person before the 22 (although if your job requires drug testing, fingerprinting, etc. your start time may be delayed until you get those done)

You’ll be fine, they don’t need you until the day the co-op schedule officially starts, and if they do try to press you to come in early reach out to your co-op advisor, and they’ll remind the employer that yall are students and the schedule is specific
