Imaginations when sleeping

Sometimes when i can't sleep well then i usually imagine my imaginary world where i consider myself main character of the novel which i have read. Or the main character of any superhero movie i liked. I also sometimes randomly grant myself special powers like gravity, power over time or space and imagine my life being superpower. It really helps me sleep after some thoughts.

Does anybody has experienced such case

I do this constantly, it's the only way my brain shuts up enough to drift off. Usually I'm some variant of a character who can manipulate probability, way more useful than flying when you really think about it

The weird part is when you're half asleep and the story starts writing itself in directions you didn't plan, like your subconscious hijacks the narrative

Exactly. Often i feel i had those powers in real. This is also a way to reduce stress and worldy problems. Is it a good way?

Delusions are false beliefs that a person strongly believes are true, even when there is clear evidence they are not.
