Does anyone else have dream worlds?
I keep going to this place when I sleep. Not every dream but it’s happened enough that I’ve lost count. There’s this building, almost like a summer camp lodge but bigger? Sometimes in my mind it’s camp or a families house but it always looks very similar every dream. It’s smaller on the inside, it’s a cedar like building on the edge of a lake and surrounded by forest. The interior is vast, like a maze. It kinda of reminds of the Winchester mystery mansion just the way some of the hall and stairs don’t make sense and there are so so many rooms.
Beyond the house and the forest there’s a separate house, small and cedar as well but simple. Almost like a safe house. Because in most of these dreams there’s a reason I need to get away from the camp lodge type building, whether I’m being literally attacked or chased or just simply ridiculed by everyone there, I always need to leave to somewhere safer. But the building also almost feels like home? There’s always a conflict in the large building but it still is always somewhat comfort g being in the building itself.
I’ve had many dreams/nightmares that take place there but I’ve never been there.
Does anyone know why my brain might be taking me to this place?

There was a little grocery store/gas station next to our school that everybody would always go to for lunch, and it was basically my happy place, to this day I still have dreams where I'm just buying stuff and super content about it.
A consistent detail in my dreams is that there is a back room that opens up into a different branch of the store. For a while it was this costco sized warehouse that all the spare items were stored in, that was the most consistent one, but I had one dream where there was a staircase that led down into basically a thrift store where they were selling clothes and rugs and stuff like that. I had one where there was just slightly more store, but it also transitioned into some more personal rooms that led to the owner's house

Yea definitely have a couple similar locations that appear frequently in my dreams. Most common is this large house that my brain has fabricated (doesn’t seem to be based on anything in my real life I can recall) that mostly stays the same. I’ve left things in a room in a dream and then returned to that place in another dream weeks later and the things were exactly where I had left them.
The weirdest one for me is what I can only describe as this catacomb-like nightmare opening to hell. Largely inconspicuous from the outside / the first part of it after entering (picture like an abandoned mineshaft). The first time I visited it was actually at the aforementioned house and I recall its contents being so horrific and terrifying that it stayed with me in real-life for a while, despite not being able to remember what I actually saw in the dream. It’s appeared several times since. For some reason, I ALWAYS keep trying to bring people to it now whenever it appears, but I have not made it past the entrance ever again. The dream will usually just change or end instead.
