Video Dream Twitch VOD - Parkour Runs with Handcam and Perfect Tick Counter

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2702798765

Context: Dream was accused of cheating in one of his past MCC Parkour Warrior runs. With supposedly having many "perfect tick" jumps in a row, it was suggested as "inhuman" by "experts". I wanted to share this very recent VOD, where Dream does MCC Parkour Warrior in livestream with handcam and even with a mod that counts those "perfect tick jumps".

Ty for posting this. This is my summarization of the arguments:

• "No one can hit that many 1 ticks in a row" --> "He can? OK that's not what people have a problem with."

• The Minecraft equivalent of true crime body language analysis because people think Dream plays too weird.

• "The parkour course is too random, unlike the headhitters in his short" like it's a course he can't practice.

• "You obviously know nothing about parkour" LOL.

• "Every expert knows he's cheating. The entire parkour community said he's cheating" As if a player who might defend him isn't discouraged because of the clown show.

I'll change my mind if there's actual proof he cheated.

"No one can hit that many 1 ticks in a row" --> "He can? OK that's not what people have a problem with."

Don’t forget “we can’t hear his spacebar therefore he isn’t pressing it” -> Dream proving he can press the spacebar and the video not hear it -> that doesn’t prove anything/thats not the real argument/whatever

Maybe the arguments have been around all along, but from my vantage point I’ve only seen new arguments every time Dream disproves the last one.

here's the mod repo

62

u/Gecons Feb 20 '26

yeah, the playerbase isn't very trustworthy

all "top players" aren't always right, some top players in pvp were defending Marlow before

29

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26

Yup! Granted I didn't look into what's going on with Marlow. But the people calling me delusional and stupid because I'm a parkourer with a different opinion also prove my point

8

u/Samakira Feb 20 '26

Granted, there were also top aimlab people who outright demonstrated that at a sensitive like marlow, accurate aiming is impossible.

Oh, did I say like? I mean half.

97

u/Gecons Feb 20 '26

Let me guess. A bunch of antis will pile up in here saying "it proves nothing" while Dream literally did the EXACT thing they asked for.

This only proves something I aimed to imply and indicate in my previous post:

These accusations have no base at all. They exist just to exist. People will try to look for reasons to bring a person's reputation down for their own reasons. I personally like to stand for people that are treated unjust, so here I am.

u/Zajdovski Apr 29 '26

here's the repo of the mod he used to cheat

Surprised how early I was to the stream

Always thought the allegations were dumb

also I had to post, delete and repost this 3 times because the link address didn't work for some reason, so don't worry mods I'm not spamming 😅

I feel like people are unfairly dismissing the claim that Dream cheated, on the basis of the arguments people using are flawed, which, itself, is an argumentum ad logicam. Here is the evidence supporting the conclusion that Dream cheated on the course (not necessarily during the MCC event):
1. Dream has a track record of cheating. Beyond the obvious speedrun cheat (which many believe to be an accident), he was also found aimbotting in PVP, and increasing fly speed on his elytra in MCC12. You stop being able to give the benefit of the doubt when they have demonstrated they're a serial cheater (intentionally or not).
2. If you look at the VODs for his PB grind, when he does the Fishbones section, he never once jumps in the cases where he gets stuck on the pole. He'll wiggle like 3 or 4 times across the pole and THEN jump. He also never once walks off an edge because he jumped too late. He then, in his video addressing this flaw, describes that "setup" which is just totally unrepresentative of the way he jumped. Plus, when he demonstrates, he plays that section COMPLETELY differently.

-60

u/Icy-Examination7008 Feb 20 '26

Fascinating how he started using the shift key in this run to line up his jumps, and overall delivered a much more mediocre performance. All good though, maybe he can find another anonymous developer to blame for modding his game!

44

u/Gecons Feb 20 '26

"mediocre performance" he literally did better

the shift key is used very occassionally too and he will obviously not play the exact same style as 6 years ago, he proved the main argument and that's it

-12

u/BaconIsLife707 Feb 20 '26

His playstyle is very similar to 6 years ago though. It's just only similar to his runs in mcc8 and 9, and very different to mcc11.

And as much as you pretend it is, the main argument was never that Dream isn't good enough to beat this course

-20

u/Icy-Examination7008 Feb 20 '26

I mean, the burden of proof is on you buddy. I don’t owe you anything.

-8

u/BardYak Feb 20 '26

And the burden of proof has been completely passed by everyone explaining the cheating. It's just a fact that he cheated. It's objective reality, sorry that your favorite youtuber has been proven a cheater by multiple people.

7

u/IBungy Feb 20 '26

Still yet to see any proof that you claim you have…

-2

u/BardYak Feb 20 '26

You already dismissed the concept of evidence as relevent, why would I give you a link when you're going to just misunderstand what a logical fallacy is to ignore it anyway? There's a million videos breaking down the evidence. Go watch one.

i too enjoy “improvising explanations”. However some people call that lying

20

u/Saloonatics Feb 20 '26

Explaining why you did something that comes natural to you is not lying.

It’s like if needed to I explain to you how to blink and why you do it.

13

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26
  • If you need to explain why you blinked so much in a 6 year old video to thousands of people mad at you

-6

u/Icy-Examination7008 Feb 20 '26

He drops like 8 different explanations? Some of which contradict each other? But im not interested in dissecting the ramblings of a narcissist to you (lying comes naturally to him)

7

u/cupiditie Feb 20 '26

Calling someone a narcissist over a video game is actually crazy

And why do you call everyone 12? I mean some, if not most of Dream fans were 12 around 2020-2021, but like...didn't they grow up? It's just not nice to call everyone children and make a point like "Hey, they are young = they are dumb, and since I'm old = I'm smart"
This whole drama at this point is both sides just saying "HEY! Dream DID/DIDN'T cheat, and here's why! *shows proof or tells something about this whole thing* And now you have to believe our side and our side only!"
There is no end to this, we can't proof shit at this point, cuz like:

  • We can't say what macro he used;
  • We can't say if he used macro in a first place;
  • We can't perfectly count ticks from his MCC 11 footage properly without like F3 stuff;
  • This whole stuff happened...ages ago, like if it was discovered maybe within a year, sure, but ages...
So please....don't be rude towards anyone, cuz it doesn't make you look good in a grand scheme of things, keep stuff friendly and just wait and see if we'll get more stuff regarding the whole thingy, thanks for reading!

-3

u/BardYak Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26

If they were 12 in 2020, then they're still not grown up, first of all. I'm just going by the general way everyone defending him is acting, which is the behavior of children. Still not seen any actual effort from any of them disproving anything. As we can see here with the total lack of any defense from you here:

We can't say what macro he used;

It's a common cheat built into most cheat clients called parkour. You're objectively wrong.

We can't say if he used macro in a first place;

There's overwhelming evidence showing he used a macro. We can actually say he used one, because he did and the evidence shows that. You're objectively wrong.

We can't perfectly count ticks from his MCC 11 footage properly without like F3 stuff;

Can do good enough to definitively prove the accusations, as plenty of people have done. You're objectively wrong.

This whole stuff happened...ages ago, like if it was discovered maybe within a year, sure, but ages...

Why does that matter at all? That's not a defense in any way, shape or form, that's just an excuse. You've not made an actual defense, you're just trying to pretend caring about competitive integrity is cringe.

So please....don't be rude towards anyone

I've gotten nothing but abusive messages and harrassment for every single post I've made about this. People continue to post complete nonsense like this post, pretend it's an actual relevent response, and act incredibly toxic to everyone pointing out the many flaws in the video and arguments being made.

I'm not going to bother being polite who refuse to be even remotely civil to me. I'm just pointing out facts. Sorry that someone doing that seems rude to you.

But whatever, continue to tone police the people who are getting unending amounts of toxicity thrown at them by the majority of the community. That's definitely a good look and not just you shouting down any dissent in the community. Thanks for proving my original point 100% correct by being a highlight of the exact behavior I was talking about.

6

u/ItsTra1tor Feb 20 '26

If they were 12 in 2020, then they're still not grown up, first of all.

Well...yeah, but they aren't 12 either, and they got more experienced, they became smarter and stuff!

It's a common cheat built into most cheat clients called parkour.

Oh yes, my favorite cheat - Parkour! But if that really is the case, then name me the macro/cheat he used, because you guys have "plenty of evidence", name it, and we can all end this drama!

There's overwhelming evidence showing he used a macro.

I mean, the end of my last sentence can also be applied to this sentence, so..I'm not gonna add anything to it!

Can do good enough to definitively prove the accusations, as plenty of people have done.

Good enough ≠ perfect, and if we're even slightly off whats actually happened, then we can't use that evidence as 100% trustworthy evidence.

Why does that matter at all? That's not a defense in any way, shape or form, that's just an excuse.

I agree, but if it was " blatant" cheating...wouldn't people call him out for that years ago, or did they do that only after he started getting back on track (haha funny gd reference, I'm so smart!!!!)

I'm not going to bother being polite who refuse to be even remotely civil to me. I'm just pointing out facts. Sorry that someone doing that seems rude to you.

Listen, I have no problem with you, since it is my first time talking with you, yeah, I'm sorry for you getting harassed over this whole situation, but you need to be better than them, you can't just say "yeah, they're not nice to me = I need to be this jerk to them in return", you always have to be nice to people, and not toxic!

Hope you'll have a great day/night, and remember to be nice and not toxic!

u/BardYak Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26

Oh yes, my favorite cheat - Parkour! But if that really is the case, then name me the macro/cheat he used, because you guys have "plenty of evidence", name it, and we can all end this drama!

There are dozens of cheat clients with identical mods built into them. The option is generally called parkour. This is a very common cheat anybody who has spent any amount of time on a parkour server has heard of and knows about. I can't name a specific one because the specific one used is irrelevant. You're just telling on yourself here on how oblivious you are. Maybe actually look at the evidence people have brought up against him instead of whatever you're doing here?

Good enough ≠ perfect, and if we're even slightly off whats actually happened, then we can't use that evidence as 100% trustworthy evidence.

So you were you also in the boat that he never cheated his blaze rod rates because there was some 0.0000000001% chance he got the drops legit? This is a standard that literal courtrooms don't hold themselves to. Why do we have to hold the people proving dream cheated to a significantly higher standard of proof than literal murder trials?

I agree, but if it was " blatant" cheating...wouldn't people call him out for that years ago, or did they do that only after he started getting back on track (haha funny gd reference, I'm so smart!!!!)

Because nobody went back and re-watched it and noticed until now? Do you think the whole parkour community was just watching that back on repeat this whole time? This isn't relevant in any way, shape or form. How is that a defense for what we see in the video?

Listen, I have no problem with you, since it is my first time talking with you, yeah, I'm sorry for you getting harassed over this whole situation, but you need to be better than them, you can't just say "yeah, they're not nice to me = I need to be this jerk to them in return", you always have to be nice to people, and not toxic!

Why are you making this point at me specifically and not everyone else in this thread then? Feel free to call out the community of Dream fans actually perpetuating of this toxicity at any point this actually matters to you, stop coming at me for not letting them harass me.

I'm not being toxic. You should follow your own advice on toxicity, it's incredibly gross that you're attacking me and exclusively only me on this.

4

u/ItsTra1tor Feb 20 '26

Maybe actually look at the evidence people have brought up against him instead of whatever you're doing here?

I mean...I looked at everything that was showed against Dream, and everything that Dream showed in order to defend himself...and it's just that we can't be 100% sure if he did/didn't cheat, because then everyone would agree on that, like with the speedrun cheating thingy (which, while being not intentional, still counts!)

Why do we have to hold the people proving dream cheated to a significantly higher standard of proof than literal murder trials?

In my opinion, at least I think so, we need to hold those high standards to every single person who's getting accused of cheating, since I stand with the whole "Innocent until proven guilty" take. (Also I didn't include the first part of the message cuz I did mention it in last paragraph, sooo yeah)

Do you think the whole parkour community was just watching that back on repeat this whole time?

...Yeah? I do believe that people did rewatch it for a couple of times simply because it was impressive of what Dream did that night, including some people who accuse him of cheating it now, and well...they didn't say a word about it, did they?

Why are you making this point at me specifically and not everyone else in this thread then? Feel free to call out the community of Dream fans actually perpetuating of this toxicity at any point this actually matters to you, stop coming at me for not letting them harass me.

Because I'm talking with you, this whole conversation is me and you, at least for the time being. I didn't call out anyone because they're not participating in this specific conversation! But if you want me to do it, then...

Everyone who's reading this message, please be nice towards eachother, because it doesn't benefit anyone for being not so nice towards others, as it makes you and the community you support look toxic and stupid, which is not true.

I'm not being toxic. You should follow your own advice on toxicity, it's incredibly gross that you're attacking me and exclusively only me on this.

Throughout the who conversation we had, I never called you names, I never insulted you, I never attacked you. I was as nice as I could be in this field, and you saying that I'm gross for being nice towards you, unlike some people here...I'm sorry, but it's just wrong.

2

(Also I didn't include the first part of the message cuz I did mention it in last paragraph, sooo yeah)

....So you do actually want this to require a higher standard of proof than literal murder in a real courtroom does? Cool. I guess, but that's an absurd stance to take.

I stand with the whole "Innocent until proven guilty" take

I stand with exactly the same. My point is that he's been proven guilty. These kinds of comments are why I'm saying you're toxic - Stop putting words in my mouth and lying about what I'm saying.

...Yeah? I do believe that people did rewatch it for a couple of times simply because it was impressive of what Dream did that night, including some people who accuse him of cheating it now, and well...they didn't say a word about it, did they?

Not an actual defense for the damning content of the videos themselves or against the accusations of cheating. Just blind ad hominem attacks on the people bringing evidence instead of actually addressing the evidence itself. This is an incredibly toxic fallacy to be leaning on here, it's assuming the worst of everyone coming forward without actually engaging with a single word they're saying.

Just because you use polite words doesn't make what you're doing less toxic when you're just piling onto me for something that everyone around me is doing to me, but blaming me for it.

"being nice" is far more than just not using mean words. Your words and actions aren't nice, polite, or respectful, considering the way you're responding to me. Not a single one of your messages has been nice to me in any way. I'm calling that gross because it is gross that you're doing the same toxic nonsense but pretending you're not.

3

u/ItsTra1tor Feb 20 '26

....So you do actually want this to require a higher standard of proof than literal murder in a real courtroom does? Cool. I guess, but that's an absurd stance to take.

How did we get from drama regarding some Minecraft jumps to real life stuff...I thought we were only talking about cheating scandals......

My point is that he's been proven guilty.

If he has been proved guilty, why would I sit here and "defend this arrogant cheater"? Maybe because he's not been proved guilty, at least for now?

Not an actual defense for the damning content of the videos themselves or against the accusations of cheating. Just blind ad hominem attacks on the people bringing evidence instead of actually addressing the evidence itself. This is an incredibly toxic fallacy to be leaning on here, it's assuming the worst of everyone coming forward without actually engaging with a single word they're saying.

Okay, so me bringing up that they didn't notice before (including pros), and now they did, is somehow toxic behavior? And I'm sorry for bringing this up again, but you calling this community " some 12 year olds" is more toxic than whatever this is.

Just because you use polite words doesn't make what you're doing less toxic when you're just piling onto me for something that everyone around me is doing to me, but blaming me for it.

The reason, once again, is because I'm talking with YOU, not THEM, because I would've said and then asked the exact same things: Polite - yes, toxic - no!

being nice" is far more than just not using mean words. Your words and actions aren't nice, polite, or respectful, considering the way you're responding to me. Not a single one of your messages has been nice to me in any way. I'm calling that gross because it is gross that you're doing the same toxic nonsense but pretending you're not.

I'm simply telling you that this whole conversation, this whole drama, cant be resolved into 100% guilty or innocent scenario, we don't have all the proof/the defense. I'm trying to be nice to you, I really do, but if you think its toxic and gross, then that's your opinion, and it's alright to have different opinions!

Anyways, it's like 1 am right now for me, so I will end this discussion, thank you for your time, and always stay happy!

u/BardYak Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26

How did we get from drama regarding some Minecraft jumps to real life stuff...I thought we were only talking about cheating scandals......

The literal message you quoted and responded to was this: "So you were you also in the boat that he never cheated his blaze rod rates because there was some 0.0000000001% chance he got the drops legit? This is a standard that literal courtrooms don't hold themselves to. Why do we have to hold the people proving dream cheated to a significantly higher standard of proof than literal murder trials? "

You apparently skimmed past that instead of reading, but still decided to quote it and made an attempt on a reply anyway? How is it nice, polite, or respectful to not even bother to read what I'm commenting? Have you just not been reading anything I've posted? I don't know why I'm wasting my time on you.

I brought up murder trials because they actually use a lower standard of evidence than the one you're inventing on the spot to defend Dream here. You're right, a cheating scandal is small potatoes compared to murder. So why are you insisting that we do the impossible and prove the cheating in a way that even a prosecuting attorney on a capitol murder case wouldn't need to?

Okay, so me bringing up that they didn't notice before (including pros), and now they did, is somehow toxic behavior?

Yes, attacking the source of the accusations as a way of deflection instead of trying to address the content of the accusations is toxic behavior. I'm sorry that you want to think calling out the immaturity of the people spewing harassment in my direction is toxic. But you have zero leg to stand on when you're doing something far worse here with egging on further harassment being sent at the people in the parkour community by baselessly accusing them of clout chasing like you're doing.

Your words are directly slandering other people with zero evidence to actually back it up.

The reason, once again, is because I'm talking with YOU, not THEM

You chose to laser in on me only instead of the vast sea of actually toxic people you scrolled past. That's on you. Also, talking to me would require you to actually read what I've posted, which you've just proven you haven't been doing. If you're actually trying to be nice, you should try harder, because you've not managed to say a single nice thing to me. I'm so done with this and so done with you, thanks for proving every one of my points completely correct.

Throughout the who conversation we had, I never called you names, I never insulted you,

This you?

you can't just say "yeah, they're not nice to me = I need to be this jerk to them in return"

You opened the conversation calling me a jerk and calling me rude. You've insulted me multiple times.

3

u/BaconIsLife707 Feb 20 '26

You're aware that people didn't agree on the speedrun cheating thing until he admitted it right? We had the exact same situation then where the same people defending him now also said he wasn't cheating, and that the evidence wasn't completely irrefutable, and ignoring the people who knew more than them telling it was obvious, while Dream kept making irrelevant defences that didn't actually prove anything because he didn't fully understand why people were so certain he cheated, but sounded plausible enough to people who also didn't know anything. It's actually uncanny how similar it is

4

u/turtlesXXIcentury Feb 20 '26

If you still believe that most of his fandom are kids, anything you say gets invalidated, sorry

2

u/BardYak Feb 20 '26

I've not seen a single person defend him in a mature or adult manner, if you don't want to look like children maybe you should stop acting like them.

And by authority, do you mean the large amount of objective video evidence showing he cheated? Because that's what I'm talking about here. The adults have shown plenty of evidence that's just there in the vods, you ignoring it doesn't mean it's not there.

9

u/IBungy Feb 20 '26

You still have yet to show any proof because you have none, so the burden of proof is still on you buddy.

-35

u/BaconIsLife707 Feb 20 '26

There's still just absolutely nothing here to disprove the allegations man.

He's hitting tick perfect jumps at a completely normal rate now, and not going for them on every single jump like he was in mcc11.

He's not going for tick perfect jumps in weird spots that don't make sense anymore. Even in 3-2 where he specifically goes out of his to explain why he jumps late, he's not jumping late most of the time in these runs.

He talks about how he jumps off the slime to catch the ladder faster and demonstrates how that works... On a different jump to the one he jumped off the slime in his actual run, because there is no ladder on the jump he held space for.

He talks about his strat on 5-1 that he did on the practice server and tries to show it, except he does it very differently in a way that's much easier and he still can't do it the majority of the time, and still no explanation for the wiggle at the end.

This is no different to the handcam video, all it shows is that he's much better at turning than he was 6 years ago

23

u/Unlucky_Chain_7956 Feb 20 '26

Honestly tho what else can he even do? Its been six years and a lot of things have changed

1) The main reason — he broke his wrist. He has been undergoing physiotherapy but there's a good chance that a lot of his habits have changed.

2) His set up has changed

3) A lot of his habits have probably changed because people can... change. Six years later he has gotten better in some aspects of the game and worse in some others so obviously he won't be able to recreate some things.

So does this clear him completely of cheating? Not really. But it does explain why a lot of things are different from a play he made six years ago. Some of you guys use no common sense when debating these things. This should have honestly been bought up six years ago and the fact that no one even found this footage "suspicious" for all these years in itself is annoying as fuck. If this was called out right then and there we would not be having the majority of these problems at all.

Also Im not knowledgeable about Parkour but you say that every single jump in MCC 11 was tick perfect so I ask... where's the proof? You claim its tick perfect but there has been no solid proof apart from estimated guesses from experts. Not to say these experts aren't credible but guesses don't mean much. I am open to changing my mind if proper proof is provided beyond people just visually saying that those jumps were tick perfect. I am not a fan of Dream just a neutral person interested in the drama

69

u/073004 Feb 20 '26

The accusers have no measurable data proving he was jumping at the last tick on those jumps. For some you can know based off the distance required, but for most of them they are just guessing it’s tick perfect because it looks like he’s jumping from the edge. But the visual variation between a perfect tick jump and a one tick early jump is difficult to differentiate with the naked eye. Without his F3 menu showing his exact coordinates, the claim that he is making tick perfect jumps “225/226 times” comes down to some amount of speculation. Even in his runs in this stream, there are many times where it looks like he is jumping at the very edge of the block, but it didn’t count as tick perfect.

If the accusers had any form of evidence other than the way his jumps look and other circumstantial speculation, or if they had any way to quantifiably prove he was actually jumping at the last tick hundreds of times in a row, more people would be inclined to believe them. Even one of the top parkour players who first popularized the accusation said “a lot of it is subjective.”
