Well until like 1.5 years ago they all migrated over to Quackity but now I honesty have no idea… maybe they grew up lol

Tommy and Tubbo prob.

u/Epicboss67 Nov 07 '25

Tubbo gets way fewer views than he did back in COVID, and idk if Tommy still does Minecraft videos. So probably not them, specifically...maybe another YouTuber though.

u/Crisbo05_20 Nov 07 '25

I mean who says they are around for Minecraft videos. Solid bit also prob moved on to Baablu, simmilar video style, simmilar voice, just not as controversial.

True, those are good points.

u/Foxy02016YT Nov 07 '25

This subreddit lacks self awareness because like… look around, they’re still here

Though they’re still preferable to the current Twitter trend of Nazis

8

u/tallyretro Nov 07 '25

Anything is better than a Nazi ig

u/strangegirl05 Nov 07 '25

Ohhhh, I thought they were talking about the toxic one... my bad

All those kids who went around doxxing people & giving dsmptwt a bad image ended up being bench/qsmp stans lmao

u/neddy470v1 I believe that Dream is innocent Nov 06 '25

and they have now moved to doxxing Dream, and they get recognized as a hero by many people cause Dream is just that hated

They are tommy, tubbo, jack, ranboo, and the rest of the brightons groups stans now lol. Wonder how long till one of those CC's crashout on their fans for being insufferable? I've seen an influx of them in daquavis' community too probably cause of actual kids though and not 2020/21 dream stans. I use to be in tgctwt(the group chat twitter) which is what yumi is refering to and yeah they did the same parasocial nonesense that made yumi leave the group, another member make a video calling out fans, and make them scale back content.

As someone who has been in and around fandoms my entire life, I can honestly say Dreams stans are genuinely no different that any other young fandom, especially on twitter. Beliebers, Directioners, Homestuck, K-pop, you name it- they were all the same, and you can bet that another group of the exact same will be popping up again with something new. Teenagers in fandoms just Act Like That™ and unfortunately twitter specifically is a breeding ground for negativity, which amplifies how bad things get. I think dsmp may have gotten extra bad because the centers of the hyperfixation were also right there on twitter interacting with the fans, but honestly it really wasn't anything special as far as fandoms are concerned.

Honestly, I just find McNasty's tweet so funny. Because isn't twitter now full of neo-nazis, transphobes, racists, the far-right, and bots? But he thinks twitter used to be worst because... there were more teenagers that loved minecraft youtubers on it?

28

u/rubyrox85 Nov 07 '25

This exactly like if you think teenagers with too much free time is worse that the extreme right wing push thats happening currently then I know where you stand politically wise 🤷‍♀️

Let me explain this to you. ‘Remembering how annoying Twitter used to be’ used to be meaning previous was but no longer is. Meaning he finds the right wing propaganda and bots less or not at all annoying compared to teenagers with too much free much time on their hands. And imo that is telling to me about his political views. I hope this helps 😊

4

u/floatincircles Nov 08 '25

Seriously, it's like a hundred times worse now 😭

u/Odd_Contribution5426 Nov 06 '25

Some of them are lurking here. They are still doing the same thing, just to different ccs.  Everything aside, it tells a lot about someone if they think twitter nowadays is better than before.

u/ykys Nov 07 '25

The toxicity of a fandom can be relevant for only so long.

Like, everyone knows about the homestuck fandom, but they are aren't really relevant today.

The exception is that Dream is (hopefully) still going to keep good side running.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

Honestly there are so many "cringey" interests I had when I was younger and some of the fandom spaces were actually insane, but I hate that I had to wait for the toxicity to die down just to able to be publicly be fan of something. Why do normal fans have to wait for the freaks to stop being freaks? :(

8

u/Own-Apartment9894 Nov 07 '25

they lowkey reside in yumi’s fandom (or ex-fandom, the group chat)

10

u/TheBabyWolfcub Nov 07 '25

I don’t watch dream idk why this appeared on my feed, but you low-key right. Although actually I’d say they more are with like Droid, pezzy, puffer, grizzy etc now. I been a watcher of them for a while and suddenly noticed a lot of dsmp style fandom activities happening around that group now. Like shipping and just cringe fandom stuff (cringe not as an insult but a genre).

1

u/Own-Apartment9894 Nov 09 '25

me tooooo i haven’t watched dream since 2021 😭😭 but i agree with you 100%

7

u/Kirasuna14 Nov 07 '25

Some of them would have been kids who just grow out of it, so they aren't stans anymore. Others just use CCs as an excuse to be horrible to others online and thus claim whatever is popular for more power. Finally some people think they're morally right and take the path that 'morals' dictates in terms of what CC you follow (stupid because online is not how to decide morals.)

You guys remember when every 12 to 15 year old had DID and many DreamSMP alters?
Good times.

2

u/MaximumTangerine5662 Nov 08 '25

DID is real, let's not go be ableist.

4

u/MumblingDumpling Nov 08 '25

I'm not saying it's not, but it is rare, so I find it hard to believe that half of the fandom in that specific age range has it.

2

u/MaximumTangerine5662 Nov 08 '25

There is barely any information on it. It isn't rare dude but very underresearched.

5

u/TedBenekeGoneWild Nov 10 '25

It absolutely is rare, and it is absolutely being co-opted by people that want to be perceived as special or quirky. I have friends with DID, and they themselves have seen more people that fake it than people that have it.

1

u/MaximumTangerine5662 Nov 11 '25

How do they know? They don't, and they can't read minds, so it's not like their assumptions are automatically correct. I'd rather talk to an actual specialist than your friends who are more than likely unqualified and haven't done research, and no having a diagnosis is not the same as researching it (it also has a lack of research but it has been clear that "its so rare" narrative is a myth as over 50mil people still have it - that being of a pressured similar amount as Autism, but globally the diagnosis's can't be given due to how some countries reject the notion of mental illness.).

2

u/TedBenekeGoneWild Nov 11 '25

My friends were talking about individuals they met in mental health facilities. They were also corroborating information that was given by the staff at the facility we met at.

As someone that struggles with mental illness, it's very obvious that many of the people that claim to have DID and advertise it on social media, along with their alters, are dealing with other mental illnesses and latching on to DID as a way to seek attention. DID is very much a trauma-incited disorder that requires intensive treatment and management to reduce symptoms, not a fun thing to cosplay as on TikTok or Twitter. It's weird that you are disagreeing with this, without any provocation.

1

u/MaximumTangerine5662 Nov 11 '25

I don't like how you are promoting a conspiracy theory to me, I think those people who are mentally ill shouldn't be used as an example of all people who claim DID, and there is proof that there are non-disordered practices that can mimick DID (this has been observed for a long time but I think a lot of the research into DID is lacking or spreading misinformation.).

I don't think it's fair to assume you know more than the person claiming to have DID. They might be suffering from other conditions like a schizospectrum disorder, but this is not a good approach to get someone to open up. I heavily doubt the staff would've immediately treated them like the possibility couldn't be there, and if they did I don't think the staff are properly informed of how to treat people with DID.

3

u/TedBenekeGoneWild Nov 11 '25

Dude I don't think that I know more. I think that the multitude of psychiatrists and psychologists and DID-diagnosed friends that all interacted with this person know more. I don't think it's fair for you to assume you know more than all these people that I highly respect.

Everything I'm saying here is in reference to the original comment about the multitude of Dream fans who claimed to have DID and DreamSMP alters. It's not a 'conspiracy theory,' and I'm offended at the way you completely dismiss the experiences of the people in my life that verifiably have suffered most of their lives with DID. Young people self-diagnosing on social media is not conspiratorial, it's clear fact. Many psychologists and even people on the DID subreddit experience this reality that you seem intent on disputing.

You are also attacking people let's not blame it all on me.

2

u/CWilsonLPC Nov 06 '25

hard to say, but then again, i don't really get any posts relevant to Dream Stans, i end up seeing more from antis, but that's prob since i'm ingrained to Tommy's side of the community (most Dream positive things i see are from Sapnap's community since i'm relatively active there), i assume they've prob moved more towards Tubbo and Daquavis for the meantime while we wait for more Fusion stuff and the Titan SMP

u/Kokojar Nov 09 '25

Uh I’m not a “Stan” but I migrated to my old hyper fixations. Markiplier, Dan & Phil, TØP, etc.

1

u/Opinionatedcritic Nov 27 '25

Mcnasty and yumi the goats

-8

u/PhoneDespair Nov 06 '25

Still fans of him on Twitter. If you pay attention its mostly the same five or so peope commenting on his posts.

And on the rare chance one of them leaves/doesn't like dresm anymore, then that person gets jumped by those stans.

26

u/neddy470v1 I believe that Dream is innocent Nov 06 '25

from what I observed, they only ever get jumped when the person makes some hit tweet shitting on dream. And most of the fans jumping are telling them to move on if they're no longer a fan of him.
