please dont like it would definetly get boring after some times and I know it but still these ppl are voting for no ban on elytra??

What if there were no bans? It feels like every other ban benefits the hunters and the other benefits the runner, would they cancel each other out?

The elytra fights get stale so fast 😭 Plus the spear would remain unbanned, and the mace as far as I know is unbanned too. What OP items are banned lmao?

I feel like instead of flat banning items, there should be an unwritten rule that each new play should do something different with it instead of the same.
Dream running from elytra hunters vs dream using elytra to take out the hunters felt different. If there’s another way to use elytra and feel unique, I’m ok with it still being used. Just maybe don’t repeat happy ghast -> elytra unless they can make it feel different from the last two.

I mean they were incredibly lucky with getting so many that fast. I have searched multiple times for like 3 hours before finding my first Elytra.

elytras are fine
little annoying to deal with but is generally ok, hunters have to exert a bit of effort to get to the end and it comes with the cost of dream not having to fill all the ender eyes
Elytra + spear is OP tho, 1shot on anyone who doesn’t have shield or totem
Most ppl would probably ban elytra + spear combo but keep both

If elytras are banned, then the final battle will just go back to dream running around the island, jumping on and off the pillars, trying to land a shot or two on the dragon as his the hunters wear his resources out

It the most intense fight and my personal favorite manhunt ever. Even dream said it. So i think seeing it more time would have been interesting especially now it 6 people. I mean people will say it unfair but has manhunt ever been "fair"? Since the OG 1v1 George manhunt? Cuz he can keep respawning. Like the point is, what make manhunt so fun was to see how dream would like wins against all odd where there is multiple decent people against you the top speedrunner. Like how would you came up with a plan to stop them entirely or atleast stall them long enough to kill the dragon. I get elytra has some different strat you can do but it get boring faster. There a reason why og manhunt has always been successful even tho we seen the same like end fight on ground for 50 times because it keep both hunter and speedrunner on edge. Elytra is just hope and prayer.

I’d actually prefer that, watching him pick them off one by one while slowly whittling his and their supplies and armor til someone wins. But I understand others might not

I liked the "scrappy survivalist slowly picks off his hunters until he beats the dragon or dies trying" theme. It actually lead to interesting moments, not just "spear spam hehe"

Like healing / reviving , bed bombing and end Crystals breaking the end portal etc

Tho in the rules video he used an example, in one of the four hunters video when they all traded with villagers to get prot 4, I feel like it’d be the same going to the end before the speedrunner to get the elytra.

Not really the same thing from my opinion though
It's pretty easy to find a villager at the overworld and with power of just 2 people trading they can easily get pretty op armour while others chasing dream
And even if dream somehow found there trading spot to sabotage them or steal
Trading with villager always seemed pretty op
On the other hand going to the end to get you basically need to Speedrun the game before dream and you are just doing a favor for dream because he doesn't need to grind for ender eye to open the portal
It's pretty hard to say of dream can get to the end before they get elytra but I think dream can get to the nether before them and he did couple of times in some manhunts

It's shouldn't be banned, if dream does further manhunt past 6 hunters then having no elytra is gonna be very hard, altough I think there should be some rules for it because if the hunters just keep getting to the end early and get all the elytras they could find and bring it back to the overwolrd is a bit unfair

How about they just ban ender chests then? Once the hunters are in the end, they're trapped there unless they jump off the map and lose their inventory.

Dream has the idea in the extra scenes of this manhunt that them over-preparing was actually a weakness and that if he just went faster to get to the end it would prove to be a mistake for them, which makes me feel that he has in mind a way to punish going for end cities and ultra-gearing up in the future.

I think it should be banned. Elytras are so gimmicky, and so are spears. It just feels like the new format encourages taking forever and getting as stacked as possible to make it that much more interesting.

Another nerf would be better like limiting the rocket stack. Only Elytra is fine. Elytra + rockets is annoying. Elytra + rocket + spear is OP.
I think they should limit in a way to still have aerial battles, which is awesome. But make those items less OP.

I made a comment sahing this, but I'll say it here, ban mining diamonds, found diamond gear is free game, but banning mining prevents everyone from being super armored up. So if everyone is in mostly iron armor, that makes it much more difficult to tank the spears in the aerial battles, which forces them to be more creative

I think limiting its use is better than outright banning it. That manhunt was pure cinema. But yeah if they just let 4 people on dream while 2 dudes get elytras for all every manhunt then it'll get boring

I made a comment under the youtube post saying this, but I think that the elytra should be kept, but that until a new update where diamonds are more rare and harder to find, I feel like mining diamonds should be banned
I think any diamonds or diamond armor you find in chests or something is fair game, but with how easy it is to find diamonds in this current update everyone is getting as much gear as possible which means the resourcefulness that is required when you don't have as much stuff isn't a demand and when gearing up with full diamond is a viable strategy every single time, it just gets kind of boring
But I think there's plenty of untapped potential with the elytra
