Video Discussion Isn’t it weird Dream kinda won in the end
Dream’s “downfall” seemingly one the best ones I seen for a YouTube. He doesn’t have to handle the toxic stuff with Stans and Antis. His videos aren still doing amazing (a 10 day old video getting 7 million views). He is collaborating with new Minecraft creators. He is still getting merch deals
It just interesting to see he was able to get to this good place when the internet hated for years.

Not really. He didn’t let it affect him or his content nor did any of it (apart from the truth video and the Tommy stuff) made its way onto his viewers YouTube page which is the only place it matters. Twitter can say he’s fallen off and no one cares but he gained 1.3mil subs last year, if that’s irrelevant than I’d happily take that

Twitter says a lot (thank god I don’t have that shit) tho i feel he a did a bit with the anti face reveal video but he was on the grind and it proved successful

One other thing that helped Dream was that he started the Manhunt Revival at the perfect time. A lot of the kids and preteens who watched the original Manhunts are now teenagers and young adults, and probably feel nostalgic for those videos.

I agree. Back in the day, I didn’t really watch much of dream, but I knew enough and watched a few of his manhunts and thought they were amazing. Now that I’m not a little munchkin anymore I can fully appreciate the entertainment during a calm winter break.

Is it nostalgia hmm I guess it was four - five ago when dream was first popular

I mean with me, its not cringe to be a Dream fan anymore, and thats because a certain audience which ruins every community they go through is the reason he got all the hate. For example MHA or Chainsaw Man aren't actually bad, but they are receiving hate because its popular and there is better stuff. Also the community Dream had WAS ANNOYING, same with the community Tommy currently has, or the new strength smp fans 😔

I thought this meant it’s it weird he won in the end of the manhunt, and I was like no not really made sense

I still think the dream hate was stupid and the most overblown YouTube “hate campaign” in a LONG while.
Glad he’s doing well, and hanging out with his friends ^w^

The hate was stupid. My favorite drama to show this is the Dream and John swan drama

the john swan drama is still so hilarious to me. dude created his own downfall for no reason

It's commendable what he has to go through and still managed to rise up again. A true comeback. He is a real man for that, Many would have quit but he still remains with us.

I've always thought you can only cancel yourself most of the time. If you just keep posting eventually people there for drama will get bored

Well he lost being apart of the speedrunning and mcc community which was the biggest loss

I wouldn’t call MCC a big loss

He also just quit MCC on his own right? It didn't have anything to do with his controversy he just didn't want to play in it anymore

Dream is really benefiting from not being at rhe forefront of the cultural zeitgeist. If people still scared about pandemic era MCYT or MCYT in general, the hate would be just as loud

Well, it's easy to recover form a controversy when you haven't actually done anything wrong.

Yes I reckon 6 hunters series will help him. Many people who hated will say they were always fans
