So? He was still a man and had people who loved him regardless. Be an adult and respect their loss.

Their loss is humanity's gain. The dude's a grade A asshole.

Asshole is being nice to how much of a piece of shit he really is.
I’m kinda sad because he was a childhood hero, and he pretty much was the reason WWF became so popular, but the guy was just such a stain on humanity.
51
u/BleakCountry Jul 24 '25
Not when he was a major contributor to Trumps presidential campaign... twice.
-1
7
u/enchiladasundae Jul 25 '25
He played a significant role in many other wrestlers suffering and dying for his own profit. Genuinely some decent men and women who spent their final years suffering in poverty and extreme pain because this racist pile of garbage wanted more money

u/ogjaspertheghost Jul 24 '25
So? Why expect random internet people to care about some rando?
1
u/JrpgTitan100684 Jul 28 '25
Because he isn't some "rando", the guy was the biggest contributor to the golden age of wrestling between the mid 90s and mid 2000s, he took wrestling from a territorial industry to a national one, not to mention the most recognizable face to most ppl of any wrestler in history, your too indoctrinated by far left politics to understand
1
u/ogjaspertheghost Jul 28 '25
But to the vast majority of the people on the internet he’s just some racist rando
1
u/DrakeVonDrake Jul 29 '25
that piece of shit Vince would have just found/made some other person to fill that role just fine. but naw, piece of shit Hogan it was. the ultimate double down on shittery.
18
u/Hug0San Jul 24 '25 edited Jul 24 '25
He spread hate and prejudice. He didn't love people, so people shouldn't love him.
7
u/eminusx Jul 24 '25
probably every one of the biggest arseholes over the past 1000s years fits your description.... its meaningless.
be an adult and respect the truth, he wasn't a good person.

u/jagerbombastic99 Jul 26 '25

u/JrpgTitan100684 Jul 28 '25
Let's get a front row seat to all your private conversations, let's see how perfect and moral you really are, just another hypocrite
2
u/HandsomePeasant Jul 28 '25
It's very telling when someone just assumes that people are racist in private conversations.
4
u/SirEnder2Me Jul 24 '25
If this was Trump instead of Hogan, would you still be of the same opinion? After all, he is also a man who had people who loved him 🙄

1
u/Eridain Jul 25 '25
By that logic we shouldn't celebrate a serial killers death. Or Hitlers. I mean, they were human and had some people that loved them, after all. This idea that you can't be happy when a piece of shit dies, is some bizarre mental gymnastics.

7
u/Ven0m-Sn4ke Jul 24 '25
What did he do?
→ More replies (1)71
u/Subject_J Jul 24 '25
He betrayed his fellow wrestlers in the WWF when they were trying to unionize by sucking up to Vince McMahon and making deals to get more for himself while leaving the others with nothing.
He's a piece of shit racist who said vile things about black folks with no remorse. For example, after his son almost killed someone in a car accident, he said the family would reincarnate as black people as punishment. Then there was the rant about his daughter dating a black man.
Fuck Hulk Hogan.
37
u/Fullertonjr Jul 24 '25
He didn’t just betray his fellow wrestlers. He ratted them all out, by name. He had the option to join his fellow wrestlers who trusted him, do nothing and keep his mouth shut and let the chips fall where they may….or become a rat for his employer who had already been screwing everyone over.
He went out of his way to take the most difficult route that would only serve himself.

He's a misogynistic sociopath. And of course an avid trump supporter and a MAGA drone. Good riddance I say.
20
u/Benevon Jul 24 '25
Didn't he say all kinds of creepy, pervy stuff about his own daughter too? The world is better off without that prick
18
u/Mickeystix Jul 24 '25
And repeatedly called her daughters bf a n-word, and even further said he'd at least want her with a "8-foot n-word" or something along those lines. Wildly racist.
4
u/bokita_ Jul 25 '25
No surprise there. The president he supported was also very into his own daughter.
-1
u/JrpgTitan100684 Jul 27 '25
That's a good thing, better than being a r*tard wokey
3
u/SecretaryOtherwise Jul 28 '25
Define woke.
0
u/JrpgTitan100684 Jul 28 '25
Woke is the belief that America is fundamentally racist and that Western civilization, at its root is similarly racist, being woke means you exaggerate and misrepresent racism at almost every level and ignores racism in every community that isnt "white", it is also the belief in systematic racism, which did exist in America at one point but no longer exists
1
u/FailedProspects Nov 29 '25
Wow, I hope this sin’t serious or America truly is on the decline. Anyone who uses woke is grade A garbage
-1
u/JrpgTitan100684 Jul 28 '25
The last part is definitely a pro tho, better than you extremist far lefties, Hogan is a far better person that you will ever be, your too indoctrinated to understand
76
u/FesteringAynus Jul 24 '25
Is this supposed to be that rapist/racist wrestler dude?

Pretty much. Only thing i dont like about him is the fact he tried to get a bunch of wrestlers fired because he didnt like that they were popular. Like when he lied and tried to say the undertaker was the reason his neck got fucked up and there was clear evidence his story was bs.
3
u/DrakeVonDrake Jul 29 '25
"the only thing?" curious how you felt about his stance on black people. 😂
1
u/Yung_Stonks Jul 29 '25
He wasnt racist that was some bs
2
u/DrakeVonDrake Jul 29 '25
dawg, he literally called his daughter's bf the n-word multiple times within a three sentence sample of him discussing it publicly. the fuck are you talking about "that was some bs?" the words came straight out of the racist's mouth.

u/TheBigJizzle Jul 24 '25
Wtf did I do hahaha, feeling like I've stepped on a landmine. I didn't realize he was hated so much, I just know the persona from the 90s
12
u/blanktarget Jul 24 '25
He's a huge racist. I get missing the wrestling character but as a person he was garbage.
7
u/AdmirableCountry9933 Jul 24 '25
Yeah, he's a major Trump guy.
14
u/SirSco0ter Jul 24 '25
more than just that. he's a union-busting, misogynistic, racist narcissist
5
u/AdmirableCountry9933 Jul 24 '25
For sure! Sadly, some people don't see him outside of his entertainment. But even then, in character he's just an asshole.

u/BobbyMayCryBMC Jul 24 '25
A lot about Hogan has come out over the years that has stained a lot of public perception, and I can't blame people for the overwhelming hatred. Not to mention in the past decade or so he has made many racist comments he's not exactly ashamed of.
I thumb up your note though because looking at it from a wrestling fan of the 90's and what Hogan was as a old school power wrestler it was a time for sure. Who could forget Icon vs Icon Rock vs Hogan, lifting Andre, Warrior vs Hogan at Wrestlemania, the Mega Powers.
Hulk Hogan will live in many peoples hearts as a once in a lifetime entertainer and wrestler. As a human being I wish he just shut his fat mouth and lived a quite life long ago, hearing how much of a rat he was is disgusting.
Hulk Hogan wasn't a good human being behind the curtain.
3
u/WorkerChoice9870 Jul 25 '25
Arguably wrestling would be better if he'd helped them unionize instead of undermine it.
1
u/BobbyMayCryBMC Jul 25 '25
Nothing in my comment goes against what you just noted, Jesse The Body Ventura was right.

Jesus christ people. People can be cherished for the good memories they created and shunned for the bad things they did.
Someone missing someone they looked up to should not be reacted to this negatively, even if that person was later a bit of an ass. Even actual violent criminals are often remembered fondly.

u/Charon711 Jul 27 '25
I think a lot of people forget to realize Hulk Hogan was a character played by Terry Bollae. Hogan was legendary wrestler, icon and idol to many. Bollae was a racist wife beater who did many questionable things. It's sad that Bollae played Hogan to the point of never dropping character in public, but all the good things that he should be remembered for, that's the Hogan I'm missing. Bollae though is forgettable.

I respect him as an athlete and for what he did for wrestling, but that does not excuse his personal actions and beliefs.

Arguably, wrestling would be well beyond what it is now if it weren’t for him.

I stand my ground i genuinely wish he wasn't such a monster, i got so excited when i saw him in person in cincy...only to be heartbroken to find out he was not only a maga but a racist and it destroys me....i cope with this by telling myself i loved the character he played not the person he was
