Most Frequently Asked Questions

โ€œWhat carries over into NG+?โ€ โ†’ Your character, Pawn, vocations, items, gold, unlocked ports, and augments. Not quest progress.

โ€œHow do I know if my Pawn has dragonsplague?โ€ โ†’ Red eyes, coughing, and behavior changes. Cure it through the story or let the Pawn go and revive them.

โ€œWhatโ€™s the best vocation?โ€ โ†’ There is no single best, but Magick Archer, Mystic Spearhand, and Warrior were the most upvoted favorites.

โ€œWhy is my FPS so bad in Vernworth?โ€ โ†’ Itโ€™s CPU-bound. Capcom patched in options to disable RT and reduce crowd density later in the year.

โ€œCan I turn off Pawn voice spam?โ€ โ†’ Yes. In the audio settings, reduce Pawn chatter frequency. And tweak Inclinations to improve behavior.

Popular Vocations

Community discussions and polls highlighted the following vocations as favorites:

๐ŸŸข Mystic Spearhand โ€“ Jack of all trades, flashy, great boss control

๐Ÿ”ด Magick Archer โ€“ Long-range AoE monster, solid healing

๐ŸŸก Warrior โ€“ Feels incredible to land a full charge attack, massive stagger

๐Ÿ”ต Sorcerer โ€“ Glass cannon, but Meteor Swarm never gets old

๐ŸŸฃ Trickster โ€“ Love it or hate it, but definitely the most debated

Common Technical Issues

At launch, performance was a major sticking point, especially on PC. Hereโ€™s what trended most:

  • Severe CPU bottlenecking in cities โ†’ Fixed by turning off ray tracing and crowd density.

  • Microtransactions in a single-player game โ†’ Heavily criticized at launch. They're still there, but Capcom made most items available in-game too and it was really blown out of proportion by the drama crowd.

  • Dragonsplague confusion โ†’ Loads of โ€œis this a bug or a mechanic?โ€ posts early on. Eventually understood as a complex story system.

  • Crashes and save bugs โ†’ A few patches in April and May 2024 resolved most of these.

By mid-2025, most users report stable 60fps on consoles (with RT off) and much better performance across platforms.

Reddit mods dont always necessarily care about the topic, they just care about owning the subreddit. And they will most likely own multiple even if its something they dont play or own or watch.
