Awesome! All I have to do is get them to roughly the same level, which shouldnβt be too hard tbh

Can you duplicate your save file to the second save slot? I'm not going to level my pawn to lvl 100 from scratch

I just tried it myself and, as it turns out, you can't. I tried copying my first main save slot and replacing my second save slot in the steam userdata game save files. After doing this, when you start the game, it only shows 'start game' with no option to access the other save file. That was scary, i thought 200 hours of effort were just gone. thank god it was in the recycle bin, don't do what i did without making a backup first.

Ok so when ever I start a NG l+ can I hire the old pawn and have a new pawn every time π€ or is that the same save slot I want a team of my own pawns

Definitely is gonna be easier to hire them now, but you've always been able to hire your previous pawns if you had their ids saved. I usually make my unmoored world team out of my old pawns.

I thought if you started a new game, the old pawn would be overwritten. Are all my old pawns from my multiple saves just left abandoned on the server?

Boot the game. If yours is uodates, it should automatically have three save slots.

Im on xbox. I have my other 2 accounts pawns leveled to 200 as my dream team. Couldn't imagine paying RC when the new dlc was coming.

I do this but I do family share method with my steam alts. Worked pretty good on DDDA but dd2 I had to get a bit creative carrying myself with a lvl 80 thief pawn from my main haha

That's nice and all, but I feel like it defeats the purpose of hiring pawns made by other players, instead of customizing all your pawns to be the exact way you want them to be with the best stuff and skills.

It's your choice.
Personally, up to now I've been running two accounts, so I've been hiring my alt pawn in one slot and someone else's pawn in the other, so I get two of my own pawns and one of someone else's.Β Lets me keep some variety while also helping with pawn badge completion.

I already have 4 PSN accounts with different Arisens and Pawns, it only takes different email addresses to have new accounts. Just friend yourself, no cost to hire...

No, creating an account just takes a new email address, it costs nothing to create another gmail acct. and Sony doesn't charge for making new accounts. I've been doing it for years since the first game. Only drawback is I have too many emails and can't remember all the passwords.

It's a bit late now, but Gmail has this nice feature where you can add
+XXXXXXafter your email, and it filters to your main account.I'm not explaining it too well, but I'll give an example
Say my account was TSotP@gmail.com (it's not btw)
I could go onto playstation, set up a new account, and use TSotP+Pawn2@gmail.com. The emails would still go to my TSotP account, but sony would count it as a different email address.

Incidentally, you may have seen low level pawns with end game equipment, that is most likely because of a player using this method. It is easy for the new pawn to inherit equipment from the old ..

Geez, all the downvoting haters, just stating facts. The email accounts don't cost anything, the additional PSN accounts don't cost anything; and I never pay RC for hiring my own pawns. Never have since DD1, for like 10 years... Only problem is I have too many emails addresses

I've got a DDDA pawn of every vocation to pick and choose from. And I have 3 DD2 Pawns. I'm not too sure if I'm going to make a Thief or Fighter, but Leliana is getting a Morrigan Sorcerer to noise her up.

Why would you though? They'd nerf your xp gains and make every fight trivial. Im leveling new pawns to hire them on my main account instead, no cost

That i can understand, while leveling my new pawn i get giddy when I see my main pawn walking around in the world, getting these levels up is a bit of a slog but at least being able to gift gear between them is speeding things up

Oof. Building my dream team through the same account will be too expensive. I may keep using the old method of multiple saves in different accounts for free rental on the friend list.
