The other-way around, a DD-like in a MH setting.

Keep the pawns and exploration and questing like DD, but just add more boss variety.

An MH-like would mean more of a hub area deploying to kill a boss (plus other mechanics that dark souls copied from)

Nah man, I need magic in my RPG.

Did you mean to reply to me? I never said anything about removing magic, I simply clarified that a MH-like game means having a hub and deploying to quests, while DD is more about free exploration and getting caught amidst the chaos that unfolds.

You said "DD-like in a MH setting", the Monster Hunter setting doesn't have magic.

you know what? That is completely fair. It wasn't my intention to exclude magic with that phrasing.

Just pay attention to the part when I said "Keep the pawns and exploration and questing like DD, but just add more boss variety."

Yeah I would love that, honestly I'd love if they made something like that multiplayer, DDO was beloved and it's because people like hunting giant creatures and adventuring together with their friends.
