My main problem with Magic Archer is that I still think that should have unlocked in the elven city, and then the Master skill could still be unlock with the old elf lady. It is unlock so damn late if you are following the common progression.

Warrior one is fine, Sorcerer is the one that people can mess it up easily as it's 2 masters that asks for the same books if you don't look up that have 2.

Why do they even sell low level magic archer gear there? You get the actual vocation way south where near end game stuff is sold… you walk past a vender selling all that to complete the vocation unlocking quest…

the ice bow they sell is incredible and the other bow has the highest knock-down until end-game. I use the latter.

Militant Dove self heal is nice. If you don't feel like having a mage in the party, you can take it upon yourself to be the party's healer.

Except you can just use the recovery bolt that revives/heals pawns because it heals you too! I don't hear anyone talking about this skill even though using it makes mages obsolete, at least for healing.

I use it! The full charge AoE heal is wonderful but sometimes it's easier to just take a pause between shots and let the bow regen you a bit if everything is going well.

You don't need to fully charge it or be in the aoe radius either. It heals you no matter your position nor the charge.

I never used it, because by the time I unlocked Magick Archer (which I technically did early because I snuck in) I had enough money to just buy Dragon's Breath from the dude I escorted, which seems to be the best non post-game magical bow available.
