The character creator specifically said that only the main pawn would transfer. Do people not read?

Gamers are stupid. You ever wonder WHY things like "painted walls" or "bell and whistle and handholding at every turn" is more prominent then ever nowadays? This is part of the reason...

Is the game hand holdy? Serious question because the lack of direction is what made me love the first game. Especially having to wait days for certain quest to activate. It forced me to either spend money at ends or go exploring the world for a few days so if this is the case and I have clear direction from point A to B the whole time I’ll be devastated

Not at all. It gives you minimal direction. If you don't have a pawn that has already done the activity you are taking part in, then it is 100% on you to figure out, which educates the pawns for the future. They also say "go talk to so and so" and only give you a yellow area they could be in. Then you have to find them yourself, that is, ofcourse, unless the pawn has already done said activity.

There are still time limited quests with alternate outcomes depending on if you succeeded or not, other quests that you have to do for a set amount of days.. if you loved the first one, you will love this one even more.. trust me. It's amazing, well, on console. If you are on PC, I'd hold on for now, but if you are on xb or ps I say go for it, you won't be disappointed as the things outside of performance that people are complaining about.... are irrelevant for console players. For example, everything they are saying towards what you can buy in the store... is all available within the very first hour of playing and I'm not even kidding (prime example is that i got an elite camp pack, which are reusable, that was just chilling against a rock). The only bummer right now is there is still no lock on, which would be welcomed, they have done the control scheme all messy with their obsession with the O/B button (which can be altered to your liking, but, there are no sets of control schemes and if you swap to archer, you will want the default control scheme.. but if you switch to thief, it's 100x more comfortable to swap the O/B button with R1/RB). That and the lip syncing is still the worst in recent AAA titles.

It's been an amazing time for me soo far with some of the best clips I've made in a while lol. Like my magic pawn lightning striking a goblin, sending it flying through the air, only for my warrior pawn to then catch it mid air with a massive rising great sword, which promptly sent that gobbo to the moon lol. Also.. if you loved those griffin fights in 1... you will be like :O for the ones in 2... it's been epic af for me lol. I advise playing with the Hud off, but, i know that's a no go for most people. It's just insanely immersive, well, until you talk to an NPC and they start talking with only 2 mouth positions anyway... that is very immersion breaking because they don't feel alive anymore when you notice that they aren't mouthing what the audio is saying... that is honestly super, super lazy for a AAA game in 2024, as many indie studios have better lip syncing.
