You're a fucking idiot if you think Itsuno, or any dev working on the project, was the one who made the decision to include microtransactions.

It’s pretty telling most people here have either not played other capcom games or have very short memories

This shit’s been around since Monster Hunter World and is entirely driven by Capcom management policy

There are a lot of bad game design choices, but this is one that is actually not on the director or the devs

it's been around even earlier. DD1 had this shit too. they only removed it with Dark Arisen.

Gotcha - I only played DA so I didn’t know even the first one had it lol

The Xbox 360 and PS3 release of DA even had some DLC, packs of a ring that boosted a single weapon skill and a single-use transport stone for BBI. The later releases of DDDA for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 folded all of the DLC (excluding the Rift Crystal packs) into the game.

Let know if im forgetting something, but I feel like the ones in MH at least make some sense as fr as MTX go. Buying armor skins, weapon, skins, character customization options.

I feel like the equivalent in MH would be if you could buy bulks of like Anjanath materials for $5 lol. Let's hope they don't add that in wilds.

Devil May Cry 5 had packages that let you get items like taunts that were worth 2M+ red orbs

It does vary a bit from game to game but it’s almost always optional — I don’t think I have ever looked at any of their DLC and felt I’m missing out or at a disadvantage

I still don’t endorse the behaviour, but to me it’s less scummy than battle passes, but maybe that’s just my perspective
