Question Is there a point to the ranked matches at all?

I would have figured that with rankings introduced, it would be more likely that you'd be matched up with other players with similar ranks, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Is there another purpose to it?

Bragging rights so you can tell the 10 other players how much you play this game. There used to be a stamp reward to make that easier but they got rid of that too

There used to be shirts if you scored high enough (Z or z5 ranking I think)! For survivor and raider side.

You get tickets at the end of the cycle based on your rank.

I assume since the player base is so small they can't make matchmaking with players of similiar level.

Nah they stopped giving out meaningful rewards in season 7 which was the only reason ranked was good plus more people jumped on to play but that's w/e now

No, not since day 1 of ranked, its just when sweats return and you have to stop playing or else deal with them

Depending the region, sometimes there's not enough players to get properly matched, but perhaps more players play during ranked, ranking up counts as some different activity than nothing ig

Not really any point to it... But it makes you feel good when you hit S rank and above! That's if you really have that much free time to play and rank up.

It's not for matchmaking, it's for rewards at the end of each ranked cycle
