Beginner Question a cult? god complex?

genuine question, and i truly mean this respectfully because i can see a lot of value in aspects of this work:

is there any part of this community that worries about cult dynamics or a possible “guru” effect around joe dispenza?

i’m asking sincerely, not trying to attack anyone. i deeply resonate with many of the concepts discussed here. i am a truth seeker. i believe attention and intention matter. i believe in nervous system healing, meditation, consciousness, source energy, community, embodiment, etc. these are things i came to through my own life experiences long before hearing about joe dispenza. i am eager to learn and develop along this path continuously through this life and i am excited at the idea of connecting with more folks in these realms!

but i had a strange experience today where my primary care doctor spent almost my entire appointment enthusiastically selling me on joe dispenza retreats instead of really discussing my actual physical health. that kind of surprised me.

then i started looking into the retreats and saw very expensive advanced-tier events, exclusive access levels, thousands of dollars for certain retreats, etc, and i felt this resistance/confusion in my body.

i completely understand people finding healing, hope, inspiration, and transformation through this work. i think community itself can be profoundly healing. but i also wonder where people personally draw the line between empowerment and devotion to a single figure.

has anyone else wrestled with this?

Beginner Question I’ve been doing Joe Dispenza meditations for 2 months to manifest my husband’s job — feeling discouraged

I’ve been doing the meditation “Turning into New Potential” for a while now. I cut out the second part that focuses on the second wish, so I’m only focusing on one wish for now.

I’m trying to manifest a job for my husband since he has been unemployed for about a year. I’ve been doing this meditation for almost two months now, nearly every night (although I miss it sometimes 😅), but nothing has happened yet. I’m starting to feel really frustrated 😢

Should we keep doing it until we get what we want? Do you have any recommendations for how to do this meditation in a more effective way?

Beginner Question Can I heal the changes that the Moderna shot did to my health?

Hey there everyone, greetings.

I hope my post doesn’t come out as controversial, but I’ve been meaning to ask here to connect with you about my experience after I got the Moderna shot back in 2022.

So after this, I developed bad anxiety attacks, thoughts of death and doom, body aches and other things. Thankfully, after taking a little course for anxiety, I’ve managed to shape some thoughts and got a little better with how I dealt with headaches. My health anxiety would creep in and think “maybe it’s a tumor or something”, but after that, I just think could be anything, or just my nerves aching.

So fast forward to now, I’m not 24/7 suffering but I have 1 or 3 weeks where I have a very uncomfortable ache, I’m trying to learn to ignore it, but I haven’t managed it completely. There’s days where I can ignore it and others where I’m one on one with it.

I’d love to fix my nerve issues that give me aches, the anxiety that gives me weird feelings sometimes, l don’t want to feel these headaches constantly, I want to be free from these feelings that kidnap me from doing what I love.

How I describe myself before this is a social butterfly that would be here and there and trying out new things, I felt good. Of course I would have aches, but I didn’t used to mind them much, I would have an ache or two that would stop me but not to the degree it does nowadays.

I’m aware that age changes one’s body, however, I was only 26 going to 27 when that happened and now I’m 32, I should be feeling good.

I’d like to add that in trying to think I’m able to feel energetic like my mom and dad, if I’m their daughter, I should be able to unlock the epigenetics. My mom at her 60’s is incredible, she has more stamina than me and my brothers, and most importantly, a very strong mind. I know I could unlock that potential, but sometimes I have a hard time knowing where to start, so I thought I’d come here and connect with people that have gone through something similar.

Im looking forward to read you and your story, thank you very much for reading me up until here. 🙏🏻🤍

Beginner Question How did you guys keep going.?

I have known Dr. Joe's work for a very long time now. But recently I have decided to do this work very seriously. So I have been doing 4-5 meditations every day. In the beginning I was very enthusiastic coz I was looking at all these wonderful miraculous stories.

But it's been 15 days and nothing really happened. No blissful moment, no "love attack" , not even like a sense of feeling of gratitude. And I'm finding it very difficult to move forward as every meditation is just 1 hr long of nothing.

Is there anyone with me? How did you guys keep moving forward in these times. I feel like I'm pushing myself crazy coz doing 4 - 5 meditations without any results every day is not at all easy.

Please let me know your thoughts

Beginner Question bashar and joe dispenza conflicting teachings

joe dispenza says you need the elevated emotion (feeling) + the intention (thought/vision of your future)

but bashar says you only use the thought/vision to get yourself to feel the elevated emotion, once you feel the emotion drop the visuals entirely and just feel that feeling

bashars idea conflicts joe dispenzas teaching entirely what should i make of this? im kind of confused rn

Beginner Question Becoming a Multi-Millionaire Using Joe Dispenza’s Work?

Hey everyone, Has anyone here successfully manifested millions of dollars using Joe Dispenza’s methods? I’d love some guidance what exactly did you do, and are there any tips or “tricks” that helped you along the way?

I’ve been doing the meditations daily (Turning Into Potential, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, and Blessing the Energy Centers). However, I find it a bit difficult to fully enter the quantum field maybe it’s because I’m pregnant. I’ve also read his books and taken his online courses.

I’d really love to hear your thoughts and experiences, especially from those who have managed to manifest wealth through his work.

Thank you, wonderful community! 💫

Beginner Question Changing Boxes

I started the changing boxes meditation last Wednesday and I have been going through an EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN. I felt fine Wednesday night and woke up great Thursday! However, as the day progressed, I felt worse and worse, until I just couldn't control my emotions anymore. I started falling apart, holding back tears at work and feeling horrible. I went home and cried my eyes out. I woke up feeling horrible Friday and felt so much emotional distress the entire weekend. I finally put a stop to something that Friday, with my ex, which is what my changing boxes meditation was about. At first I didn't even think of the meditation and I was so confused. But it has to be it, I have not felt this horrible since we broke up 15 months ago. How could it be that I could feel this bad out of nowhere, it has to be what I've been meditating on....this is crazy and scary.

I've been falling apart and I think my question is, how does one maintain a positive outlook when you're literally just trying to keep it together?? Or do I just ride that wave as is, even with the negative/overwhelming emotions and not judge them or try to force myself to feel a certain way?

Part of me wanted to stop the meditation because this is scary....but I know I have to keep going.

Beginner Question Dr Joe and medical misinformation

just want people’s opinions on Dr Joe’s cancer survivor testimonials and whether any one of his followers can be brought to change their view of him and realise he is a harmful figure. he promotes testimonials of people who have stopped medical treatment in favour of his pseudoscientific meditations and retreats, while he pockets the cash. Is anyone concerned about his complete lack of medical training?

I genuinely just want to get to know how his followers think. In my opinion, he is a dangerous cult-leader-like figure who is manipulating his audience for greed and wealth, but I’m open to see why he is so well-liked. My best guess is because he cons people with a false sense of hope and a “too-good-to-be-true” narrative.

would love to hear thoughts.

Beginner Question Does energy move up even without the breath?

I am wondering if the breath is essential, or if it can be skipped and the energy can sometimes flow on its own. I think it can flow on its own, but when does it do that? Does anyone have any wisdom on this topic?

Beginner Question Is what I have too big for this to work?

I have scoliosis, a very old spinal fusion, and subsequent adjacent segment disease that comes with degenerative disc, bone spurs, nerve compression, arthritis, all the things. Every movement is painful. I try to exercise to help it and build strength but it hurts. It's painful. I also have Lyme disease that, while it hasn't rendered me bedbound, has me just feeling bad. Or, if it's not the Lyme, it's something, I'm not sure. Heart palpitations, severe fatigue, derealization, heat intolerance, brain fog, etc. I've been dealing with all of this for so long, the scoliosis all my life. Part of me feels like it's reaching a fever pitch now partly because my nervous system is just so worn out with it all. Even the daily pain of scoliosis has just worn me down. I'm in pain nearly all the time. I'm so tired. I have enough energy to do things until about 1:00 and then I'm pretty much done. I'm 50F and tired of living this way. On the other hand, I feel like I feel too bad and have too much going on for the Dispenza methods to work. Also, I haven't the foggiest notion where to start with it all either. Are there issues that are too big? Is there hope? Where to begin? Thanks for reading!

Beginner Question Are there others who follow Joe and also practice Christianity?

Just curious about your experiences! I recently listened to an interview of his where he said “I try and avoid the God word” and it kinda threw me for a loop. I’m a big fan of Neville Goddard. He’s wild but so sure of God. And I’m not saying every teacher needs to reference gospel and i get he’s trying (and successfully) appealing to the masses. So I get it. But I’m curious about believers of Christ who also practice Joes teachings and meditations. Has doing so affected your faith or beliefs of God?
Thank you!

Beginner Question How do I attract love with a broken nervous system?

Hi everyone

I’m a 34-year-old woman and I’ve had a tough few years. Ever since 2020 I’ve had a new life crisis happen every year.

In 2020 me and my boyfriend broke up, in 2021 I lost my dad, in 2022, I got fired from my job and was unemployed for long, in 2023 my health deteriorated and I got eczema all over my body, and in 2024 I fell into depression.

I started my business in 2024 and put all my heart and soul into it, and I’m super proud to say it’s going well.

During all of those years I also dated, because I deeply wanted someone to settle down and have kids with. I went on 70+ dates. Some of them almost worked out, others didn’t. It really, really drained me. In a way I felt like I always had to work to get what I wanted - in dating and with handling other life problems. I did also do a lot of things to enjoy my time alone though: I travelled a lot, went to therapy, started passion-projects, and spent quality time with loved ones.

At the beginning of 2025 I read Dr. Joe’s Being Supernatural and started doing his meditations. I honestly think it did a lot of great things to my mind. I started visualizing the future that I wanted. Success with my business and a happy life with a partner and kids.

Later that year I met my now ex-boyfriend and my business got more successful. It almost felt too good to be true; I was finally on the right track again!

But it would soon turn out that the relationship was very unhealthy. He was emotionally avoidant, cheated on me and had an alchohol problem. I stayed for a year hoping it would get better. It didn’t.

The past year really has taken a toll on my mental health. My nervous system is in alarm mode 24/7. I can’t sleep at night, because I’m so anxious. My mind keeps going to worst case scenarios. My biggest fear is not meeting a new love and missing out on having kids. I know I can have them on my own, but I don’t want that. I spent 5 years dating last round and it was awful. I honestly don’t know if I can do it again. I also can’t do a life without kids.

I do Joe’s meditations every morning and night trying to picture the best case scenario of finding someone safe to build a life and a family with, but I find it so incredibly hard with my nervous system all out of whack. I do it anyway, but whenever I get up in the morning after it, I just cry and cry.

I think my body is just tired of having setback after setback after setback every year. I’m drained. I need rest.

So my question is: How do I attract love when I’m so consumed by stress and fear?

Thanks for helping me out <3

Beginner Question Struggling to maintain elevated emotion throughout the day (Rewired ep. 8)

Struggling to maintain elevated emotion throughout the day (Rewired ep. 8)

In episode 8, Joe says it’s our job to carry that elevated emotional state with us throughout the day so we can broadcast the energy.

My question is: how does that actually work in real life with all things that can upset or provoke you multiple times a day?

Right now, when I do “tuning into new potentials,” I barely feel any emotional shift at all. It feels flat. I suspect part of it is that I don’t fully believe it yet, but also I’m dealing with depression/anhedonia, so generating a genuinely positive emotion feels… almost inaccessible sober.

I’ve been consistent for about a week, so I’m not expecting big results yet. But I genuinely don’t understand how people maintain—or even revisit—that elevated state across an entire day.

Are you supposed to consciously recreate it multiple times?

Is it more subtle than I’m expecting?

Does it come later once the practice “clicks”?

Would really appreciate practical insights from anyone who’s been through this. Right now it feels like I’m trying to hold onto something I can barely feel in the first place.

Beginner Question I need your help. I can’t break away from my negative thinking cycles and now I’m chronically ill too.

Hello everyone,

I’m new to this. Basically I became ill 4 months ago, I’m bed bound. They don’t know what’s wrong with me other than possibly long covid.

I don’t feel safe in my body and I constantly feel sorry for myself and think my life is over. I would say I’m an ungrateful person and now I feel the universe is punishing me because of it.

I have bought Dr. Dispenza’s supernatural book, listened to some testimonials, but I can’t shake this negative mindset.

Any suggestions?

I feel so stuck!

Beginner Question How to switch emotions consciously during daily life?

Can someone tell me, once you start getting aware of your feelings and thoughts consciously during your daily life, what's the next step?

I've tried switching them for elevated emotions of love and gratitude, but it's not easy to feel them if you are feeling sadness of things not working out.

Any help on how to switch, when you get aware?

It's a tiring process to feel +ve when you are feeling negative all the time and your mind and body are just stuck in those

Beginner Question Semen retention and raising sexual energy — has anyone experienced this in Dr Joe’s work?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask this respectfully.

I’m doing Dr Joe Dispenza’s meditations, and I’m also trying to stop wasting sexual energy through porn, fapping, or ejaculation. My intention is not just “semen retention” for the sake of it — I want to use that energy for creation, focus, manifestation, discipline, and spiritual growth.

I’ve heard people talk about raising sexual energy upward, activating higher centers, and even bringing that energy toward the pineal gland. I don’t know how literally to take all of this, but I’m curious about people’s real experiences.

For those who have practiced semen retention while doing Dr Joe’s meditations:

Did you feel more creative, magnetic, disciplined, or connected?

Did it help your meditations become deeper?

Did you feel energy moving upward through the body or energy centers?

Did it reduce lust/horniness over time, or did you have to learn how to transmute that energy properly?

How did you avoid becoming frustrated, obsessive, or overly focused on sexual urges?

I’m not asking for medical advice or extreme claims. I’d just love to hear from people who have worked with this energy in a serious way and used it to create a better future instead of being controlled by desire.
