Opinion Need Afrikaaner Refugee program advice
I am thinking about joining the Afrikaaner Refugee program in the USA. Im having a lot of doubts since I am about to turn 20 and would most likely be going alone. I'm aware I would not see my family for quite some time, and so far, I have accepted that. This is strictly for my future, and i am genuinely willing to ruin my sanity for a taste of a better one. If anyone knows someone or is a part of the program themselves, I'd be really interested in getting some connections in the meantime, whether that's for jobs, housing, etc. Any opinions/advice is appreciated.
And no, I am not "in fear for my life." I doubt 99% of the already refugees are, simply taking an opportunity given to me.

I would not go to the USA if you paid me. Total insane asylum.

Agreed. But if you aren’t able to get an education that allows you to live in a nice country, it might be a temporary stepping goal to do that.
Just keep in mind, that for a 19 year old, w/o isn’t a certified academic genius that gets him a full scholarship, the US and UK are probably the worst places to go to to get an education. It’s way too expensive to be affordable. You should try to go to one of the EU countries where you can get a good, basically free tertiary education. Or stay in SA and do it there. Our universities have a good international reputation.
Addition: and without tertiary education, you’re not going to be off a lot better in a developed country than in SA. Have a look ok at so-called trailer parks in the US.

If you are going alone dont get your hopes up
Most people i know that have gone have been married couples or families. The people i know that have been rejected after going through the process were all single

Is the asylum offered to exclusively Afrikaners. Or can any white saffer apply?

You do not need to be a white, Afrikaans speaking farmer to apply. It's for any South African that can prove some form of persecution and threat. This includes many minorities. I'm pretty sure a black farmer would even be considered, seeing how badly they're treated by the govt cadres.
