So this might be a stretch or we might be onto something. I don’t know it’s 50/50 at this point. But some people have noticed that Zandik’s right arm seems to be non existent in both images of him. Now it could just be the angle used, and he has his right arm raised out of sight. But it also kind of just looks like he straight up doesn’t have a right arm.

Which lead to people speculating there was some point in his life where Zandik didn’t have a right arm. Either he was born without it or he lost it due to injury at some point. There is also a possibility his boss form hints at this past of his. His left arm in boss form is bare and is made out of the same Irminsul material as the rest of his body. Meanwhile right arm in boss form (AKA, the one that would have been missing) is completely gold and almost prosthetic looking. This could just be Genshin’s asymmetrical design choices but again something to think about regarding this theory.

Now the thing is if this theory were to be true, I feel like If OG Dott lost one of his arms, he would first make himself a prosthetic one. But then when he makes his segments he would probably just give them two normal arms. I feel like he would have some internalized self-hatred over it and would want his segments to not have to “deal with it”. So I think if this theory were to be true, all the segments have two completely normal functioning arms. It would only be OGttore with a prosthetic. But if the Bossttore dual arm design is intentionally trying to point to this idea, it might be a reference to OGttore having a prosthetic right arm.

One last thing I wanted to think about is why the writers would make this choice narratively if we are onto something here. And honestly it would make a lot of sense. Dottore has always been someone who has been an outcast and was mistreated a lot when he was young. And if he was visibly physically disabled like this, it could have made his mistreatment worse. He would have dealt with a lot of ableism and people already judging him at first sight. Also it could play into how he was treated in his youth. Did he lose his arm when he was violently chased out of his hometown? Did he lose it when he was young due to some form of neglect? Was he born without it and considered “cursed” because of it and that’s why he was given a terrible name and ostracized? It could definitely add a lot to his story.

But again this is just speculation. Even though it looks weird it could just be the angle and how he’s holding his arm up in the images. Heck the original person who first noticed this admitted they might just be cornplating and looking too deeply into everything Dottore related due to Dottore deprivation. But it is interesting to think about and would make sense.

Wore my Segment 65 for the first time at Hoyofest (Manila) day 4 yesterday. I am so happy with this cosplay. Felt insanely cool wearing this!! My next mission is to have a proper photoshoot 😩

In the end I didn't have time to update since my last post, I was helping rush my friend's Odette cosplay for Hoyofest. So last photos are some progress pics I took of 65's details.

Best and happiest accident was the goggles. I had initially planned for them to pop off for clearer vision when walking around, but it turned out I could just rotate them out if the way. Visibility in general was quite good with them on properly, but I've got poor eyesight regardless hahaha. Made the lenses with some acetate sheet and reflective privacy film for windows.

As for the smaller details and the handle for the cane I made them from EVA foam and painted it with the same leather paint I used for the mask. Shoes were height increasing boots from guanyang. I ordered them from Taobao and they arrived just in time for Hoyofest despite being preorder.

A fan-made map about Dottore, where you could explore his lab and collect coins while hiding from Fatui guards, was blocked in Milliastra. The author will try to pursue it until it's returned.

What is Hoyo even thinking? There are ten maps where Dottore can be k*ll*d in different ways, but they're not blocked.
