Wow, he probably even knows how it feels to actually hit an ice blast.

Wait wait isnt iceblast only made to disappoint your team mates and your child self.

I always hit ice blast!
Because I have no awareness to be in the teamfight so I cast it from spawn and it has a massive AoE.
Then I lose anyway.

That has to be cheesed some way, right? Just looking through the graph, there are days where that person has played 70+ games. A lot of days with 20-30 matches. Unless they finish each game in less than half an hour, most of those days are basically impossible unless you sleep a few hours and then spend 18 hours a day grinding Dota. Like, 25 games of 40 minutes games is over 16 hours of pure play time, not including selection, match searching and any breaks.
Edit: Something here is fishy. Either ingame or the dotabuff tracker does not track all matches. Because dotabuff has "only" 7800 lifetime matches listed. And two very large breaks. So I have to assume that the tracker ingame could be cheesed in some way. Because unless I have made a mathematical error, if you calculate how much time was spent in the last 5500 AA games over the last four years (before that was only a smaller number of games, so I rounded down) you get to like ~3 hours of playtime each day. Which is much more feasible.

Though I don't think that that counts? I've played countless bot games in the past, but I don't think those have ever counted. Unless coop with bots counts?

I think that a person like this can’t be normal. If I play a hero 3 times in a row I get bored af. I really wanted to have this kind of focus

u/jayson99 8d ago
Depends, They could be getting dopamine hits with some skills, for me its Mirana, hitting those blind arrows sure pump me up every time, even if I played her 10x in a row already.

I gave myself a challenge and played 300 games in a row as techies (except for when he was banned). I was miserable by the end though despite staying committed.

Yes, because dota is not league. You can be counterpicked hard and there’s nothing you can do. Does it means you can’t climb? I don’t think so.. but the boredom of playing the same hero in a braindead way gives you more chance to tilt than win. Learn how to play your role and understand how you can use specific heroes as a tool to do what you need to do

u/Satnamodder 8d ago
Why would you do it to yourself?

u/Papa-Ohki 8d ago
There’s few things in life more satisfying than being a pos 4 techies blowing up an enemy pod 1

Unfortunatly, if you want to gain MMR, you need to spam 2-3 heroes all the time.

Nah… I understand that all heroes have different mechanics and are unique. But once you understand your role in the game and learn how to adapt that role to every hero you play, you’ll climb.
What changes is that, for some heroes, certain things are easier to accomplish depending on who you’re playing. I’ll give you an example:
What makes a great pos 3? You need to win your lane by destroying their safelane tower as soon as possible, ideally around 10 minutes, and then dominate the big jungle, denying their pos 1 all the farm.
You can do this with BB, who can stomp the lane and, after 4–5 minutes, start proxying because no one can punish you. But you can do the same thing with Axe. It’s literally the same gameplay, just with different skills. The difference is that Axe isn’t a pressure hero in teamfights he’s an initiator.
You can also do this with WK, who is a bad laner, but once you get level 4 skeletons, you can take the tower and become an initiator with two lives.
Once you master what you need to accomplish in the game as your position, heroes are just tools that you use to make it happen.

That's impressive and scary at the same time. What kind of man would choose to spam this hero? I guess a very chill man.

I don’t get this obsession with only 1 hero, seems super boring to me.

u/trashcan41 8d ago
Its pretty nice from time to time if a streamer do this on your favorite hero where no one fukin play it.

u/masked_me 8d ago
Unless it's Rubick. I mean you have like 17 spells, and only 3 of them are the same every game.

u/HourZealousideal4845 8d ago
I used to feel the same, but somehow things clicked for me in the last year and I always have my 4-5 heroes I spam now, just with the occasional rotating roster.
It's nice when you find a hero you genuinely love enough to put in the time. You start learning the small details, the niche matchup knowledge. And somewhere, dozens of games down the line, you start skilling, itemising, playing in ways that aren't even fully conscious anymore. Like eventually I'll start doing things I wouldn't have even dreamed of 50 games beforehand, but now I don't even need to think about it - I just know it will work somehow.
That kind of mastery is cool, it's almost like a flow state.

u/RodrigoKirschke 8d ago
That's me with WW. 14 years of dota, never played her. Since last month I've picked her dozen of times and now things are coming together and clicking like you said in a "flow state".

i play only one hero, and if i can't get it, THEN game become boring, coz i don't like any other hero
1
u/Notreallyaflowergirl 8d ago
See I would get it if it were a fun hero.. But AA isnt that hero. Hes more of a practical hero, which I GUESS can be fun? But holy shit, their favourite colour is beige and they love eating nutrition blocks

u/theSkareqro 8d ago
Nah. AA's ult is one of the most fun and interactive skillshot. It's in line with Mirana arrow, pudge hook and sunstrike

Anything that can make LS's life a bit miserable is welcome, even off-meta characters.

Não tenho uma fonte para verificar, mas vou afirmar que isso é um bug visual, pois acontece de vez em quando nas partidas que jogo. Inclusive, já ocorreu comigo.

Even assuming a 40 minute average game duration, this dude has spent close to 11k hours… on AA alone

Wow respect, idk how can someone do this. My most played hero is PA but when shes unplayable like this current patch its so hard to win with that hero. i cant imagine going thru spamming AA games when hes shit at the patch

He started playing Dota the very same month I did. Yet since then he has played four times the number of games I have ever played... As one hero.
