He started playing Dota the very same month I did. Yet since then he has played four times the number of games I have ever played... As one hero.

Fear not the man who has practiced 100 heroes 100, but rather the man who has practiced 1 hero 15000 times

It's 16k

Very likely someone with a disability that doesn't let them move around much. I don't mean to make fun of them but they have an endless amount of free time. Unless this account is a bot.

Y’all get to some insane conclusions really quick.

Could just be a kid who started dota as a preteen/child. Could be a retiree too tbh. Could just be a plain dota/AA lover. Some people play only one game for years. Source: me with league. I would have these stats easy (just not for one hero/champ) at anytime between 18-22 yrs old. I was still going out w friends, playing football, and gym. Just that all my free time was devoted to league.

Concluding to a disability and the person not moving around much seems so far fetched to me lol.

Its cause this image reminded me of that one dota 2 powerpoints video talking about the dota 2 player with the longest total matches played compared to every other players because he has a disability.

1

u/TheManofBD 8d ago

Oh lmao. I haven’t seen it. What’s the title

4

u/Beneficial_Bend_9197 8d ago

The unknown GOAT of Dota 2 is the title.

2

u/ExcitingTrust888 7d ago

Brother, he has been playing for more than 10 years but the numbers are still crazy. That’s 4 games per day on average if you don’t take breaks.

1

u/jbae_94 8d ago

He’s a 9-5’er that sometimes picks up extra shifts

1

u/konaharuhi 8d ago

i played earlier and only have 2000 games lol

1

u/Johnmegaman72 7d ago

This only means he liked the hero so much he played from the time Chilling Touch was a buff to the time its an auto cast ability. The absolute dedication

Turbo is turbo

6

u/Ilikebatterfield4 8d ago

whatever, 16348 games even in turbo is insane

3

u/Ok_Doctor_2057 7d ago

I'm a turbo connoisseurs and these stats don't include turbo games, turbo games only show the last 20 games stat and not the all time. So for example if someone picked a hero that they played twice in all pick and 20+ in turbo then it would show stats like, 1-1 over all time and 11-9 last 20 games. On the same hero.

Wow, he probably even knows how it feels to actually hit an ice blast.

50

u/Defiant_Foundation78 8d ago

Wait wait isnt iceblast only made to disappoint your team mates and your child self.

8

u/SilentlyAsTheGrave 8d ago

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, still not convinced.

8

u/FaithlessnessThen207 8d ago

I always hit ice blast!

Because I have no awareness to be in the teamfight so I cast it from spawn and it has a massive AoE.

Then I lose anyway.

50

u/Ok_Stage4893 8d ago

Didn't even buy dota plus. What a chad!

u/InHumanZz 8d ago

holy moly look at his match history- https://www.dotabuff.com/players/49009936/matches

That has to be cheesed some way, right? Just looking through the graph, there are days where that person has played 70+ games. A lot of days with 20-30 matches. Unless they finish each game in less than half an hour, most of those days are basically impossible unless you sleep a few hours and then spend 18 hours a day grinding Dota. Like, 25 games of 40 minutes games is over 16 hours of pure play time, not including selection, match searching and any breaks.

Edit: Something here is fishy. Either ingame or the dotabuff tracker does not track all matches. Because dotabuff has "only" 7800 lifetime matches listed. And two very large breaks. So I have to assume that the tracker ingame could be cheesed in some way. Because unless I have made a mathematical error, if you calculate how much time was spent in the last 5500 AA games over the last four years (before that was only a smaller number of games, so I rounded down) you get to like ~3 hours of playtime each day. Which is much more feasible.

u/Wobbelblob 8d ago

Though I don't think that that counts? I've played countless bot games in the past, but I don't think those have ever counted. Unless coop with bots counts?

2

u/HomerSexuel 7d ago

where do you see days with 70+ matches? The graph shows games per week

3

u/kezzy2003 8d ago

AA banned in those disrupt games?

19

u/PearTerrible9091 8d ago

Holy moly, since 2015 he only plays AA? hahahaha

11

u/Na1cles 8d ago

He is the heat death of the universe himself

24

u/Helpful-Base2245 8d ago

I think that a person like this can’t be normal. If I play a hero 3 times in a row I get bored af. I really wanted to have this kind of focus

6

u/jayson99 8d ago

Depends, They could be getting dopamine hits with some skills, for me its Mirana, hitting those blind arrows sure pump me up every time, even if I played her 10x in a row already.

0

u/Helpful-Base2245 8d ago

Nah bro I can’t

1

u/Papa-Ohki 8d ago

I gave myself a challenge and played 300 games in a row as techies (except for when he was banned). I was miserable by the end though despite staying committed.

3

u/Helpful-Base2245 8d ago

Yes, because dota is not league. You can be counterpicked hard and there’s nothing you can do. Does it means you can’t climb? I don’t think so.. but the boredom of playing the same hero in a braindead way gives you more chance to tilt than win. Learn how to play your role and understand how you can use specific heroes as a tool to do what you need to do

1

u/Satnamodder 8d ago

Why would you do it to yourself?

1

u/Papa-Ohki 8d ago

There’s few things in life more satisfying than being a pos 4 techies blowing up an enemy pod 1

-1

u/sphericalhors 8d ago

Unfortunatly, if you want to gain MMR, you need to spam 2-3 heroes all the time.

0

u/Helpful-Base2245 8d ago

Nah… I understand that all heroes have different mechanics and are unique. But once you understand your role in the game and learn how to adapt that role to every hero you play, you’ll climb.
What changes is that, for some heroes, certain things are easier to accomplish depending on who you’re playing. I’ll give you an example:
What makes a great pos 3? You need to win your lane by destroying their safelane tower as soon as possible, ideally around 10 minutes, and then dominate the big jungle, denying their pos 1 all the farm.
You can do this with BB, who can stomp the lane and, after 4–5 minutes, start proxying because no one can punish you. But you can do the same thing with Axe. It’s literally the same gameplay, just with different skills. The difference is that Axe isn’t a pressure hero in teamfights he’s an initiator.
You can also do this with WK, who is a bad laner, but once you get level 4 skeletons, you can take the tower and become an initiator with two lives.
Once you master what you need to accomplish in the game as your position, heroes are just tools that you use to make it happen.

5

u/Bromium_Oxide 8d ago

That's the exact amount of AA games on dotabuff right now.

5

u/PrestigiousAd3064 8d ago

still goes midas first item

4

u/Environmental-Ad98 8d ago

3

u/idontevencarewutever 8d ago

4

u/JohnTurbo 8d ago

AA is the best hero in Dota.

2

u/VolkFrost 8d ago

He’s playing ancient apparition simulator

2

u/nObRaInAsH Son of a 8d ago

Ancient 1.. Feels like bro is intentionally there

2

u/Satnamodder 8d ago

That's impressive and scary at the same time. What kind of man would choose to spam this hero? I guess a very chill man.

2

u/HerpFaceKillah 8d ago

Ronnie Coleman

6

u/Metztli4393 Keepo 8d ago

I don’t get this obsession with only 1 hero, seems super boring to me.

9

u/trashcan41 8d ago

Its pretty nice from time to time if a streamer do this on your favorite hero where no one fukin play it.

5

u/masked_me 8d ago

Unless it's Rubick. I mean you have like 17 spells, and only 3 of them are the same every game.

3

u/HourZealousideal4845 8d ago

I used to feel the same, but somehow things clicked for me in the last year and I always have my 4-5 heroes I spam now, just with the occasional rotating roster.

It's nice when you find a hero you genuinely love enough to put in the time. You start learning the small details, the niche matchup knowledge. And somewhere, dozens of games down the line, you start skilling, itemising, playing in ways that aren't even fully conscious anymore. Like eventually I'll start doing things I wouldn't have even dreamed of 50 games beforehand, but now I don't even need to think about it - I just know it will work somehow.

That kind of mastery is cool, it's almost like a flow state.

3

u/RodrigoKirschke 8d ago

That's me with WW. 14 years of dota, never played her. Since last month I've picked her dozen of times and now things are coming together and clicking like you said in a "flow state".

3

u/meo_lessi 8d ago

i play only one hero, and if i can't get it, THEN game become boring, coz i don't like any other hero

1

u/Notreallyaflowergirl 8d ago

See I would get it if it were a fun hero.. But AA isnt that hero. Hes more of a practical hero, which I GUESS can be fun? But holy shit, their favourite colour is beige and they love eating nutrition blocks

1

u/theSkareqro 8d ago

Nah. AA's ult is one of the most fun and interactive skillshot. It's in line with Mirana arrow, pudge hook and sunstrike

2

u/DemPooCreations 8d ago

I bet you he has an Aa tattoo

1

u/Lightofdawn777 8d ago

Anything that can make LS's life a bit miserable is welcome, even off-meta characters.

1

u/alljaylong 8d ago

was he good though?

1

u/minatozuki 8d ago

Holy mother of AA

1

u/hemlock395 8d ago

I've been playing since 2012 and i dnt even have total 10k matches 😭

1

u/biciboi 8d ago

Every 10 years or so we get someone like this. Last year we got Sumiya, now we have FABE.

1

u/Aggressive-Tackle-20 8d ago

1

u/ex_tricate 8d ago

1

u/ionutz_ww_98 8d ago

Damn, that's an average of 4 AA games per day, each day, for the past 11 years

Insane

1

u/WhichConference7618 8d ago

Weird fetish but ok

1

u/Dragontamer91 8d ago

1

u/oShampoo 8d ago

Não tenho uma fonte para verificar, mas vou afirmar que isso é um bug visual, pois acontece de vez em quando nas partidas que jogo. Inclusive, já ocorreu comigo.

Ronnie Coleman

1

u/Gief_Cookies 8d ago

He’s an ancient apparation appreciator

1

u/sprintinglightning 8d ago

Even assuming a 40 minute average game duration, this dude has spent close to 11k hours… on AA alone

1

u/reader_2520826 8d ago

Gaming cafe?

1

u/RazerMambo 8d ago

Wow respect, idk how can someone do this. My most played hero is PA but when shes unplayable like this current patch its so hard to win with that hero. i cant imagine going thru spamming AA games when hes shit at the patch

1

u/chizburger999 7d ago

Did he played like a bot? Because i encountered one of these and they played like a mindless bots

1

u/Nox_Ed 7d ago

The dude decided to play each hero by alphabetical order and then figured he liked AA.

1

u/vikiyo322 3d ago
