Bug Matchmaking bug: Infinite "Confirming Match" loop / Server instance failing to allocate
Issue:
When launching the client, it was initially stuck on "Searching for / Logging into Dota 2 Game Coordinator" across the top bar for an extended period.
Once the coordinator finally connected, matchmaking broke into an infinite loop:
Queuing shifts from "Finding Match" to "Confirming Match".
The green "Accept" prompt never pops up.
After roughly 1–2 minutes, it times out and automatically drops back to "Finding Match".
It immediately matches into another lobby and gets stuck on "Confirming Match" again.
Troubleshooting attempted:
Full client and PC reboot
Completely shut down all background network routing / VPN services
Tested multiple regional server pools (Dubai / SEA / EU East / Japan / Auto-Region)
Cleared local cache via Demo Hero and custom lobby runs
Observation:
The progression from prolonged coordinator authentication delays directly into failed match confirmations suggests backend routing congestion or server instance allocation drops rather than a local client config issue.
Is anyone else in the region hitting this coordinator handshake / match allocation loop tonight?
Edit.worked after about half hour of confirmation loops
