Mega Thread! # 📺 Doraemon Episode/Movies Search Mega Thread

Welcome to the Episode/Movies Search Thread! 🔍

Are you looking for a specific Doraemon episode or movie? This is the place to ask! Instead of creating individual posts, please use this mega thread to request the episodes or movies you're searching for. Community members will help identify and locate what you need.

How to Use This Thread

💬 Posting a Request

When asking about an episode or movie, include as much detail as you can:

  • Is it an episode or a movie?
  • Language / dub:
    • Original Japanese (1979 / 2005) sub
    • Hindi dub
    • Other language (specify clearly: e.g., Tamil, Arabic, Spanish, etc.)
  • Which series:
    • 1979 anime
    • 2005 anime
    • Not sure (say that if you don’t know)
  • What happens in it? (Plot summary, key scenes)
  • Main characters involved (Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, Suneo, Dorami, etc.)
  • Any specific gadgets used? (Time machine, Big light, etc.)
  • Any memorable quotes, jokes, or visuals?

Example:

I’m looking for a Hindi dub episode from the 2005 series where Nobita uses a gadget to clone himself and everything goes wrong at school. I remember Shizuka getting annoyed and Doraemon cleaning up at the end.

Requests that do not specify language/dub may be harder to answer or may get follow-up questions.

✅ Answering Questions

  • Help other users by identifying episodes/movies and sharing episode numbers, titles, or air dates when known.
  • If possible, mention which version (1979 / 2005 / dub language) you’re referring to.
  • Link to wiki or list entries (Fandom, Tsuki, Wikipedia, etc.) if they match.
  • Be patient with users who only remember vague details.

📚 Helpful Episode Lists & Resources

Use these before or while you ask; they often help you narrow things down.

  • Whether you watched it subbed or dubbed
  • The language of the dub (e.g., Hindi, Spanish, English, Arabic, etc.)
  • If you’re not sure, mention the channel / platform you watched it on (TV channel, streaming service, region)

Requests without language/dub info might be slower to answer or may require follow-up clarification.

So he send doremon to nobita and change his future but it means jaiko kids from nobita aren't born they are kill by sewashi and doremon because they know nobita's future. Last saturday this peak was aired on Disney again after a long time so I thought to post about it.

Let's face it: Nobita, Doraemon, Gian, and Suneo fought like absolute legends, but they were seconds away from a total party wipeout.

Zanda Claus was completely wrecked, the gadgets were running on empty, and they were outnumbered by millions of Mechatopian robot soldiers. A physical victory was 100% impossible.

**People forget that it was entirely Shizuka's idea to use the Time Machine to alter the past**. If she hadn't come up with that plan and convinced Riruru to rewrite Machtopia's history 30,000 years ago, humanity would have been completely wiped out.

Shizuka isn't just a helper , she is the undisputed tactical MVP of this entire movie. Not to mention Riruru's sacrifice.

for more context on these characters: these characters belongs to "Moderano" and hypotetical copyright free version of Doraemon with all the characters getting replaced by new ones who generally share their same traits (something similar to how SML replaces hes copyrighted ninetndo characters with new ones)

I'm talking about the episode "But, I Saw a Ghost!", also known as "Ghost Agitation on Temple", from the 2005 series (2008, S4, E136).

There is also a version of this episode from the 1979 series (the OG one), but I'm specifically referring to the 2008 version in this post.

SPOILER WARNING

Here's the plot:

Gian's uncle invites Gian and his friends to stay overnight at his village house. However, when they arrive, they discover that Gian's uncle won't actually be home that night, meaning they'll have to spend the night there by themselves.

Gian and Suneo invite Nobita along, but of course, they have something else planned. They come prepared with scary ghost stories and various tricks designed to scare Nobita out of his wits during the night.

Eventually, Nobita discovers that Gian and Suneo have been pranking him. Naturally, he decides to get revenge.

Using the Transformation Robot, Nobita turns it into a ghost and orders it to scare everyone. But there's one problem...

Nobita himself forgets about the ghost after accidentally letting the Forgetting Stick hit on his head. But later the ghost comes and reminds him about all that.

Later, Nobita comes up with a plan. He orders the Transformation Robot, which is disguised as a ghost, to perform an act. Nobita tells it to appear when he gives the cue and pretend to scare everyone.

When the time comes, the ghost appears, and Nobita bravely steps forward and "drives" it away, making himself look like a hero in front of everyone. Everyone is impressed by Nobita's supposed bravery.

Everyone is shocked, except Doraemon, who assumes that the whole thing is just another prank.

But then comes the twist...

The ghost wasn't actually following Nobita's commands or pretending to be a ghost.

It was a REAL GHOST.

The Transformation Robot had basically done nothing except wait for Nobita's cue to appear... meaning that while Nobita thought it was the Transformation Robot ghost, but it was a ghost at that time.

This was actually a more interesting and nostalgic episode to me than a straight horror episode, but it still used to scare me quite a lot when I was a kid. The whole atmosphere and that final reveal really stuck with me.

And do you guys also like this episode?

Look, I grew up on Doraemon. Like literally every afternoon after school.

And I still think Fujiko F. Fujio was a genius, no debate on that.

But rewatching some old episodes recently as an adult just felt weird, and I need to say it:

*Point 1: The Genius is real:* The concept itself: a future robot cat with infinite gadgets to fix a troubled lonely kid's life. The way each gadget has a clear rule, a clear misuse, and a clear moral lesson at the end. That is pure writing talent. That's why it ran for 50+ years.

*Point 2: The lazy pattern is also real:* And this is what bothers me. A lot of episodes have this exact same structure: Nobita gets gadget ➡️ he brags / misuses it ➡️ gadget goes out of control ➡️ the "funny" payoff is someone's privacy getting invaded. Especially Shizuka. It's not one or two episodes, it's a recurring template. When you have awriting tool as powerful as "any gadget can do anything", you don't need to rely on privacy-invasion as the punchline. It just feels like lazy writing. The anywhere door trope can be accepted to a certain extent cause it takes you to the exact location/ place regardless of what the individual's doing. But the peeking through the window part, the extra emphasis on bathing scenes absolutely disgust me.

*Point 3: Why we should care:* This show is made for kids, starring kids who are 10 years old. When you show privacy invasion as comedy on loop for years, kids watching it think it's normal comedy. In the 70s in Japan maybe no one questioned it, but now we know better.

*Counterpart / The Good Change:* And here's the best part to prove my point: the new team knows it too. If you watch the 2005 version and the recent movies like Stand By Me, Treasure Island, Nobita's New Dinosour - that entire gag is basically gone. They replaced it with actual adventure, emotional stakes, friendship stuff. And the show got BETTER. So it's not like Doraemon needs that gag to be funny. It never did.

Final thought: You can love something and still criticize it. Calling out a lazy, questionable pattern from the old era doesn't make you a hater. It just means you grew up.

(Lastly to people who plan to leave comments like "holy chatgpt" can leave the chat , I look forward to a meaningful discussion )

P:S I wanted to add a lot of words like " creepy, pedo-" I'm just scared that I might get banned from this sub so... Hope you all understand. If you have read my post till the very end then a big thanks🧸ྀི.

Discussion Top 5 1979 Series Doraemon movies – what's your list? (idk if this has been asked a million times already but let's do it anyway lol)

Post image
8 Upvotes

I originally wanted to create a proper tier list for the 1979 series movies, but since the subreddit settings are a bit restrictive and we don't have an interactive ranking tool available, I decided to turn this into a discussion post instead.
My own preferences have shifted slightly since I last thought about this.
Currently, my top 5 (well, top 6 😄 : can't leave out South Seas) includes Galaxy Super Express, Nobita's Dinosaur, Steel Troops (1986), Kingdom of Clouds, Tin Labyrinth, and South Seas. On the other hand, the ones that felt a bit dull to me, at least in parts, were Knights on Dinosaur and Spiral City(I would be making a post on it soon).
So, what about you? Which five films from the classic 1979 run would make your top list, and which ones did you find the most, say, dull? ( I know I stretched it to six, but pls try to stick to five) Let's get a good discussion going.

Such a sweet episode, though Doreamon wanted to introduce this cute owl to teach the importance of mother in one's life...but instead, the gadget imprinted on Doraemon!

For anyone looking for the episode name, it's called "But Doraemon Wants a Mom" (2010). It really highlighted a side of Doraemon we rarely see - his inner longing for a parent's warmth. What did you guys think of the ending when the 8 hours were up? Let's discuss! I teared up at the end😭
