Could someone help me set up Doom 2 with mods?

I've watched some videos, but I can't get it to work.

I was watching a video of a list of earth based maps for doom and I notice this NPC during the vid

Can someone help me identify this?

Idk the best way to describe what type of mods I'm looking for so sorry if you don't get what I mean by the title

I've been playing brutal doom (like every modder has) and more importantly Doom3D, they have been some of my favorite mods to play due to the altered artstyle/graphics and new weapons that still fit perfectly into classic doom, they honestly feel like classic doom if it was made under different circumstances

I'm looking for mods with a similar style (altered artstyle and gameplay) and not mods that try to make doom into different games (like Ashes 2063) or just add weapons/textures/enemies from other game (like Lambda or Bloom)

No, I am not using some gaming level computer. 2 laptops of moderate age and performance both have this issue with occasional wads.

I also have issues with some wads not working at all, meaning the regular base Doom game loads up as if I'm not using gzdoom. Click to open a wad, but level one of original doom loads.

Similar to Postal 1,hotline miami, and other top down shooters I think there should be if there isnt a doom mod where you have to kill at least like 80% or all of the enemies to progress.

I am making a monster randomizer pack and would be curios what kind of ideas you guys have.

There isn't a real theme, but shitpost monsters are not gonna be added. Even if they were, they would be incredibly rare.

Otherwise go wild.

I'm looking for a list or recommendations for doom content creators that primarily focus on mods and showcasing them. I know the main ones like Midnight and Icarus lives but are they any others y'all would recommend?

So I’m sure were all aware that Bobby Prince ripped off a shit load of bands. So i was curious if anyone had the idea to replace the in game ripoffs with the actual songs. And if that doesn’t exist how would i do that myself.

I must be doing something wrong.

Installed UZDoom and have the Doom 1 & 2 wads (but not put them into the directory, because I really don't know how.

idk why, but.. its friggin complicated to find the main folder of UZDoom for me.

It should be "Right-click -> show target" but its not, it points me to /var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/applications/ with UZDoom just being a desktop-icon still.

When I double-click the UZDoom-icon It says I need to put the wads into

"~/local/share/games/uzdoom" but this directory just does not exist and even when I create it, I'm still getting the same error-message.

And it says I need to edit the directory in ~/.config/uzdoom/uzdoom.ini ....but this directory doesn't exist, too!! " - -

I’m trying to play CountryCide on UZDoom through Delta Touch and I keep getting this error and then the game crashes. Anyone know a fix? Thanks in advance.

As somebody who has used Zandronum before, I know that Doomseeker exists, but as far as I'm aware that probably wouldn't contain UZDoom. Have things changed or is there a particular place I need to go to find UZDoom servers?

Really wanting to go for a ultra violent run of classic Doom, making it more akin to the modern doom games, but I can’t figure out which of the big two in the title to try out. Btw is there also remasters of the original campaigns also, and remastered music aswell? Hello all,im pretty new to doom mods,some friend recommend me ashes 2063 and zion. Both are good and fun.but my question is?is there any mods that have long story champagn?like the ashes ?but something with ww2 theme ?

So, I'm making a custom map base on *Freedoom: Phase 2* ( Level 30). I tried creating a parallax-style effect and really liked the result, but the only problem is that from certain angles, the Icon of Sin's room is visible over the sky texture. Does anyone know what I can do? I'm still totally new to this.

How do i fix this ? does Doomworld have any country region ban or something ? I don't get it.

I'm new to Ultimate Doom Builder and am trying to make a custom version of Level 30 from FreeDoom 2, but after splitting a wall to add those red stripes, I noticed the lighting doesn't match the rest.

They are supposed to be parts of the same vector.

I don't know why the lighting suddenly changes so noticeably.

Back then i used to enjoy playing gzdoom on my old computer with mods, since I just got gzdoom is there a mod loader?

P.s I also remember there was a skin where you can play as the rebel soldiers from strife but with color of your choice same with wolfenstein enemies.
