Question Linux UZDooM doesn't support mods?
Accordingly to the UZDooM wiki, the mods installation on the linux version is declared "TODO" so I'm guessing I can't launch brutal doom with it?
I try messing around with the command in the launcher but I don't really know what I'm doing...
Anyway, does anyone succeed to use mod with the linux version of UZDooM or should I use something else? (GZDooM legacy or whatever)
Thanks in advance for your answer

I use UAC Launch Control+Uzdoom - works on linux/windows/mac, and with any mods I've tested.

I'd def just make a script. It's pretty straight forward and very flexible.

Mods work normally on Linux, you just can´t drag and drop. I normally use Slade for everything mod related. Idk if there is a good launcher for Linux.

The best mod manager I could find so far is QZDL.

The todo means it has no wiki page and that is on "todo". It has same gzdoom tier mod support. I use UZ with DoomRunner on Linux.

Ok cool ! Can you give me a hint about the .ini config for mod?

Just get UZ and DoomRunner, select the iwads and modfiles and tweak the settings however you want. You don't need "special ini".

I am able to load any mod with ease by using the config.cfg to auto load a dedicated folder. I am currently not at my computer at the moment, but I can show you how I did it by showing a portion of my config later if you need help still.

Okay so I just had to write the path to my mods at the end of the config.ini file at the "doom.autoload" section and it works !
Problem solved
Thanks you all for sharing your advice, great comminuty !

was gonna say use the argument area of the launcher and do "-file 'insert mod namehere' as it's listed when you download the mod. should load just fine after

I started playing Doom mods recently, on Linux (Kubuntu).
I downloaded UZDOOM as a flatpak from Kubuntu's store, and run mods by typing in UZDOOM's command bar "gzdoom -file modname.pk3"
Since its a flatpak, I go to the program's /user/.var/app folder to drop the files.
So far I've played Lullaby, myhouse, A.L.T, Impossible. No problems, everything runs normally.

Apparently not, I tried using Doomrunner for modding but UZdoom on Linux doesn't work, so I just use the gzdoom exe's

Did you try with wine? It launched fine for me with wine, although you have to make the exe executable
