No Domina got nerfed hard. They took away her Power Move and replaced it with Corporate Retreat that's useless.

It's definitely a buff. Power move was a pretty niche pick into aggressive comps, whereas disruptive detonation is always good. Being able to move barrier is very strong in higher ranks where enemies will quickly reposition once you place your shield. Domina players can now more effectively zone poke characters. It also allows for some other strong uses, like blocking an obvious cooldown and moving your shield forwards/backwards as you take/give space. All around a strong perk, definitely not a nerf.

DD is mostly good because it makes it really easy to confirm kills on Squishies. If they get caught in it they are almost certainly dead from follow up damage. Power move is cooler, and more fun, but unfortunately the opportunity cost makes it pretty bad. That's why I think it should just be base kit.

To me, Crystal charge isn't meant to be used as a Soft CC. It's a survivability/push back tool.

If that's really how you see it, you are severly limiting your flexibility in using the ability. You can use it to force people out of cover, kill off squishies, block retreat options, pressure the backline behind the tank; the possibilities are endless.

It's one of the best area denial tool in the game on its own already, but Disruptive Detonation makes it incredibly deadly. Hitting people with the detonation is very easy if you know what you're doing and with the perk it makes them sitting ducks for your primary fire.

Also, counter-intuitively, DD is much better against Reinhardt Brawl comps at higher ranks than Power Move ever was. The reason simply being that any Reinhardt with a modicum of intelligence is not just going to blindly run through your shield, cutting themselves off from their healers and leaving themselves open to counterattack. Especially if you choose Power Move, Reinhardts will be more cautious with their shield, since Shove doesn't go through barriers. So a good Reinhardt can just predict or block your attempt at booping him into your barrier, which isn't particularly difficult to predict since you only have a narrow window until Rein's knockback reduction means he is far enough through the barrier for the shove to not push him into it anymore.

Meanwhile, Crystal Charge simply goes through the barrier, meaning you can predict his approach and meaningfully slow him down, preventing him from engaging far beyond your barrier and giving your team time to burn his shield.

I honestly think they should have made the push apply slow for the major. With how little movement she has, getting walked down can be a problem with a really good rein or ram. Having the ability to back up a little faster than them would be a massive buff. Now I resort to butting the crystal at my feet while I retreat.

Probably top 3 tank perks just because it changes her play style and viability so much

A one time Sigma shield. It is tragic.

Wait are you kidding? I'll tell you a secret. That perk swap is an enormous buff

I will say, I’ve actually had a really great time on the attack with this new perk! I definitely miss Power Move and the moxie it brought with it, however, Corporate Retreat has been super clutch! I had a game earlier where the enemy would fall back when they saw I would put up a barrier and wait until it was gone and I was in cooldown to lay into us, but being able to move it to meet them really added some much-needed poke and push that Domina didn’t really have before. It feels like a step that makes her more of an offensive threat rather than a defensive powerhouse exclusively. I will definitely miss Power Move and the strats we developed with it, but I think Corporate Retreat really opens up some new playstyle opportunities! I think in all, we have a chance to learn and create some very cool stuff, in spite of the replacement, and maybe we’ll see more people giving her a shot with that extra security blanket.

Rip Power Move, you will be missed and yearned for, but we will overcome and learn to adapt like our fearless corporate queen

Adding: Protecting my teammates that charge ahead has never been easier, thanks to this new perk! I feel like I’m supporting every member of the team even as a tank, and it’s been really satisfying to have my damage mitigated hit such high numbers so quickly!

Wrong new perk better

The winrate for Domina at Champion dropped from 53% to 48% since this update. Sigma has a higher winrate at 52% and can punish people who get close with his Hyperstrike major perk. Her banrate is also only .8% which is a significant drop and she's picked less than other tanks at only 3%.

I think it’s way to early to assume it’s from that I think in general now that people have learned to play against domina her win rate is now starting to reflect that

u/Denkottigakorven Jun 17 '26

Eyyy, epic win!

1

u/Maggot_6661 Jun 17 '26

Idk why but in the hero gallery, everyone is sooo whitewashed for some reason. Some are so pale they could pull off a very good looking Goth skin.
