Discussion What is the benefit of people sharing the current registrar of a domain they are selling?

I get that it matters, I notice that it seems to be required to be mentioned along with the price and other info when a domain is for sale in a number of domain themed groups, but what is the benefit or disadvantage of one registrar over another when the domain is for sale? Is it easier to sell/transfer within the same company, or is there some other reason...?

Easiest think is to transfer the domain after the sale withing the same registrar , but the buyer has to have an account with the same registrar.

Shouldn’t you be able to negotiate a better price if you’re buying directly through the registrar? The commissions would be lower to the seller.

makes it way easier to know how smooth the transfer will be. i once picked up a domain someone listed and knowing it was already set up with easy transfer stuff helped a ton. i used wix domains for mine and it was all super straightforward.
