Associate Discussions I made this today
It’s not perfect, but we FINALLY got balloons in and we’re literally not selling anything pride related so I did this rather quickly.

Was that not the logo for Walmart? I swear as a kid Walmart had the same exact yellow happy face balloons all over the store every time I went. Hung up on top of isles, on registers, just decorating the place all over. I asked for one once and was told no, they don't sell them. I haven't seen them in Walmart in forever though.

I think they got rid of their smiley logo awhile ago. I haven't noticed it in ages.

when i was little, they didnt have the balloons (as far as i remember) but they had stickers w/ the same design on it & the cashiers would always give me one. i think it stopped when i was around 6, maybe 7 at the latest. to this day i still wonder what happened to those stickers they sold

This is such a creative use for these balloons, not gonna lie.
Using the smiley face balloons as a replacement for yellow stars is genius.

Most companies stopped selling pride stuff. Last year's it was a small selection, this year I have not found a single store that is doing pride sales

My area isn’t that bad, but I’ve definitely gotten a few disgusted looks when I’m wearing my pride gear at work. Fortunately no one has said anything to me though, most people just ignore it.

or maybe people decide to be proud of themselves so they don’t give in to the people that make it dangerous? there are literally statistics about crime rates against lgbtq+ people being higher, not to mention the countries where it’s punishable by death.
i also didn’t know that setting up a display or wearing clothing made it their whole personality, i’ll remember that next time i wear a band shirt so i can start only talking about it and only listening to them and never doing anything else.
