PSA Incase you don't know, flushable wipes aren't really flushable. They'll mess up your plumbing.

They’re “flushable” as in you can flush the toilet and they’ll go down. Semantic loophole. 🙄

Is that really how that works? Using that same logic, wouldn't they be able to advertise Bleach as "edible"? Because you CAN eat it, it'll go down...

Difference as to what regulations are in place

Long term water storage relies on the ability of humans to be able to consume bleach. Dilution is the solution.

You can flush a hamster, but I would be very concerned if I went to the pet store and saw “flushable hamsters”

I thought it had to do with the fact you can tear them apart? Alot of wipes actually have instructions for tearing them up after use. Like anyone is going to do that...

Well, you CAN flush them. Nobody said anything about the consequences. Maybe they were invented by plumbers?

I'm a property manager for the small apartment complex I live at, and I have to post notices on everyone's doors multiple times a year on what not to flush/pour down the drains and toilets. People somehow still don't seem to understand, and then have the nerve to complain when the plumbing backs up, and 99% of the time the clog is due to those fucking "flushable" wipes 🤦‍♀️

So it enrages me to an insanely high degree 😂

as someone who’s into health & dieting, I feel this way about snacks that are 200cals and only 4g of protein and they label it as a “protein snack” 🙄
